Also, he's still an absolutely top keeper. He's kept us in more games than I can remember but like most players, is going through a spell where his confidence is lacking a bit, and the odd mistake creaos in. We know he's quality and we know he loves the club. Our job as fans is to get behind him, show our support, and not get nervous every time he gets on the ball, never does any good.
Having looked back that's a foul all day long. Pretty sure you can't use two hands to cover the keepers face while pushing yourself up for a header... Extra time is a minimum and as Perez went off he did indicate he was going to add another min already. Still the ref has cost us whichever way you want to slice it tonight. Gutting...
Both hands on the keepers shoulders and pulling him backwards. If that was the keeper of a top 6 side they'd have bloody noticed it.
Is anyone actually surprised at Dubravka losing form? He was a 3.5m plus 1 year loan, coming from Sparta Prague, with no elite-league experience. A drop in form was inevitable and more noticeable when you're in net. Will be interesting to see if he pulls himself out of this.
Have reviewed the incident with Dubravka and must withdraw my previous comment. He was definitely fouled by Boly who had both his arms on Dubravka's shoulders to stop him jumping. How on earth did the officials miss it.
He appears to play on it, especially at home. Absolute confidence man so I hope he gets built up again.
He’s saved us so many times with saves and overall performances I find it hard to criticise him over and above anybody else in the team. It’s unfortunate that if he makes a mistake 9 times out of 10 it’s gonna lead to a goa so it’s obviousky gonna have more of an impact, but I think over the course of the season I think you’ll find our lack of cutting edge and finishing will have cost us more points than Dubravka has. When you look at £70m - £80m being paid for keepers (who also make mistakes) I still think Dubravka is a ****ing steal and a very good keeper. He’s not perfect by a long stretch but I still think he’s miles better than Darlow and Elliot.
Rafa sounds pisssssssed off by all accounts in his presser: Rafa on whether Graham Scott should have awarded for foul on Dubravka “In England they don’t understand the rules so you can say whatever you want to say.”
Get a grip lads, the goalkeeper wants shagging for that. In that situation he should have been looking to put a fist on it. Also Diame wasn't up to the pace of the game having just come on and should have stopped the cross coming in.
Felt like Dubs was going for the cheers. Catch it, land on it, lap up the noise. Daft bastard. The photos look like a foul, but the replays just didn't - Boly's not doing much wrong, all Dubravka has to do is put his fist through it or push it over. We'd dealt with every corner.
