On a positive note, we took 4 points off Sunderland this season, can’t knock that.
We’ve all said for a long time, we need an out and out goal scorer, someone that’s not frightened to shoot rather than just walk it in..

Yep someone (not naming names RR) said we’d lose all the last 5 games, by more than one goal too :emoticon-0105-wink:

Along with every other team in the league, oh and we want to spend less than £2m from L1- L2 for him, expect to pay him peanuts and for no one else to buy him from us.

We’ve won 2 of the last 3 but only by the odd goal against Leicester and Plymouth
Lack of goals will still cost us in the long run
Normally I’d be happy with an away point but it sounds like a dreadful game between two teams who know their season is well and truly over

Our highlights couldn't have taken long other than Max having a great game.

So much from both teams unable to 'kill' and control the ball, nothing to do with conditions.
    It was embarrassing at times.

At times it was Sunday league standard today, from both sides tbh.

You’re right RP - the highlights are basically the Max O’Leary show <laugh>

The rest of the team missed the bus, in more ways than one. :emoticon-0136-giggl

You think we’d get him for £2m?, it’s ok I know that’s not what you meant, I’m not sure he’d be successful in Manningball anyway tbh

    Enjoy RP - I’m jealous!!
    I love Torremolinos.
You should be able to see the city games over there - most bars have IPTV and show any game you want - we always get to see City when we are over there but we stay in Benalmádena - the next town to the west.

In fairness that was a long time ago. In hindsight he’s turned out good, and we didn’t give him a chance I know, but that’s life, some you win, some you lose.

    My thoughts hours on..
We seem to play better against the top teams.. mindset of the group goes up a few notches.
I said earlier I would have been happy with a draw, Sunderland was a wounded animal after the mauling from Blackburn..
It was a bit of a nothing game in blustery conditions, tbf both teams looked on their holidays.
I still maintain that the youngsters should be given some championship game time..
We need a few fresh faces including a decent striker..

Agree we do better against better teams, often because they attack and allow us space, lower teams tend to sit in which we find difficult to break down. We have to find a way to break down these teams, we only have to score one and then they are forced to open up.
As you said teams often react to a heavy defeat and neither team had anything resting on the result,,so it was always going to be tight. That’s no excuse for our level of performance though. But at least we got a point, thanks largely to Max.
The question of the youngster depends on which youngsters, and whereabouts they are in their development, unless they are ready playing them won’t help their development, in fact it could hinder it.
