Definitely midfield for me, didn’t see today, but last two home games midfield is where we are lacking , we have technical ability there , but are too weak in the tackle and easily bullied. LJ seems to be running out of ideas , he needs to figure something out PDQ or else our season may slip away from us.

    Stale, predictable, and pedestrian.
No creativity in midfield and Diedhiough doesn't win nearly enough in the air, still can't control the ball, and is generally useless in my humble opinion.
I can only see another home defeat coming against Brentford on Boxing Day, and the owner and Mark Ashton should then start asking the Manager some serious and uncomfortable questions if they're not doing so already.
Despite very good away form in general, we've flattered to deceive a lot of the time this season, and in what is an average division bar a couple of teams, we could soon find ourselves in the bottom half of the table. But maybe that's our true position and what we deserve for our erratic form, performances and lack of quality in key areas ?

Awful game, we didn't play well going forward but defended stoutly and we were five minutes away from a creditable point until the ref intervened. I would have taken a 0-0 at Wednesday any day of the week. Typical over reaction from City fans following a bad run. All teams get them

Hardly an over reaction. We've been consistently inconsistent all season when just a little quality would raise us above a lot of the also rans.

The owner wants top flight football, but to my mind, right now we are as far from achieving it as we've ever been and how long is he prepared to wait ?

Expecting consistency from any club in the Championship is like expecting a very hot, dry British summer. Very nice if it happens but the chances are it won't

I wrote a while ago that 'you have to win it before you can play with it'. A Gow or Elliott is needed to provide the balance. I also said of all people to know that then it has to be Junior.
But honestly have a look at his signings that are in the squad. Palmer, O'Dowda, Nagy, Massengo, Brownhill - this lot couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag.
And hang on I'm not saying Massengo or Brownhill are like the others but ffs you need a Gowie/Marvin to look after them.
Junior's trouble he's had a scattergun approach to signings, he's ended up with so many he's losit the plot.
SL will allow him another intake in January that I hope doesn't add further confusion.
For me with Junior's budget I would have gone for quality over quantity these last 4 years.
But then I wouldn't employed the cheap inexperienced HC option either.
You get what you pay for in this life.

We have been average at best under Lee's management and unless he is a magician in his next transfer window then I would suggest his time must end. We have been hearing the same old rubbish about how we will improve under his guidance and yet he still can't come up with a squad that is even close to proving his worth. The prospect of having to face another summer of fantasies and false promises is starting to wear thin in my case and although he has spent millions the team seems to have come to a grinding halt. The obvious question will be who do you replace him with and will things be any different? A lot of truth has been written in this thread and perhaps it's time to admit that Lee's promises when he arrived and subsequently spoken have not been rewarded with success but rather the mediocrity that we have come to expect.

As several have posted Lee's time must surely be close to the end and regrettably it should be put down to inexperience and lack of footballing savvy regarding team selection and formations that will eventually lead to his demise. As a side note I believe that others should shoulder some of the blame for our lack of competitiveness and successful business people usually only employ people with the right credentials to make them look better but in our case I think that credo is far away from the reality. I promise not to shout from the rooftops when Lee finally leaves and I don't expect his potential replacement to be international news because that's the way we do business. Perhaps our business model forgot to insert a clause about the ultimate success.

Oh dear - I risk being labelled a ‘happy clappy’ again, but before the knives come out again, I’d like to remind everyone that we are within 1 win of the top 6. We lost to the runaway top 2 teams, Millwall (who BEAT the top 2 teams), Sheffield Wednesday, who recently spanked Forest, with a VERY dodgy penalty and Luton (ok we should have not been beaten by them).
We are still within a shout and on the way we have ended Fulham’s unbeaten run, spanked Huddersfield, beaten Cardiff (forcing Warnock to resign) amongst other successes.
We won’t win every game, but we mustn’t implode after a defeat.
I’m not saying there isn’t improvement to be made, but we are fighting at the right end of the table so it’s not all lost yet.
