    Canary in peace <peacedove>

Good luck today lads and lasses, hope we have a good game to match the weather. I'm on my way to the game and was wondering what pub away fans drink in? I know the area reasonably well so should know really!

Any help would be great, all the best for this afternoon, may the best team win <cheers>

A beautiful day here at The Cottage with a huge expectation for the first match. Lots of Canaries adding to the atmosphere. A goal from Dembele celebrating his 2nd anniversary today.

Duff! A good finish, Ruddy did well though. We're looking great so far.

Wow, Wow and Wow, Wow, Wow

As the saying goes quality will out and that showed today with our heroes in total control. As for most of the second half of last season we didn't make a host of chances but boy are we clinical. None more so the Petric but for me the goal of the game was the one by young Kaca - terrific build up play.

Diarra was terrific and for me MOTM. The others including the 3 subs were just terrific.

For an opening game, the football we played times was so good and obviously the pre-season preparations were spot on. All the players were in tune with one another and Jol's tactics clearly suited that line up. Thank you all for a rather pleasant day at th Cottage.

Great day at The Cottage. 5-0 was a bonus, but more pleasing was that this is a strong basis for the season.

And some humble pie for me given the concerns I've raised on two players. I thought RUIZ was outstanding, with an especially strong performance in the first half. Diarra was MOTM. Combined with Dembele, our central midfield ran the show. And that before we mention the other assists and the goalscorers.

And an extra cherry on the cake for my man Zolly scoring for West Brom.

We've got some hard matches ahead but one game gone and we're confident.

Diarra was very good today, as was Ruiz. A midfield of Diarra and Dembele just oozes class and Ruiz seemed to enjoy sitting in front of them (For the record both C58 and I got the starting XI right. ;)). I don't think anyone had a bad game and we dominated from start to finish. Petric has already shown as much this season as Johnson did in the whole of last season. Even Hugo had a good run out, although we didn't really get him the ball much. I thought Reither/Duff and Riise/Kaca linked up well too. Lots of promising signs.

Side note: not sure how I feel about the "Are you watching, Clint Dempsey?" chants. I hope he was watching and realises that the chants were because we loved him not because we hate him.

Diarra and dembele were so in control today and at ease with the ball, while ruiz looked superb playing in the no.10 role just off the striker. Also thought the subs, particularly Kasami slotted in very nicely and seemed to appreciate what we were all about today. Great start, COYW!!!

My favourite part of the game was the players applauding the fans at the end. Especially Petric and Hugo, the latter of which definitely has potential to become a big favourite if he puts in some good performances.

Yeah I noticed that, very vocal support for rodallega which was great to see. Played some good stuff and did well to win the penalty so hopefully a positive sign of things to come.

Absolutly fabulous, could not have wished for a better day,and to see our reserves loose 5 0 to Swansea
    what a senario.
I must say the Norwich fans were very vocal and humorous, especially at the very end
when to the Beach boys tune sloop John b sang,
(and in unison) "I am so pissed off I wanna go home"
