Diame is going to make a big difference and I can see Clark easily replacing Dummett. I'd fine both Hanley and Janmaat for absolute stupid bookings or was Janmaat wanting sent off so he could go and get his move completed.

Diame is very hit and miss. I think he's much better suited to the premier league.

He went missing most of last season for us - he finished the season well though...

Unbeaten run lasted 0 games.
Told you that this division is a proper test, you laughed and some were saying you would go unbeaten.
To quote Farrage... Well ur not laughing now.

Mr told you so is here , can you bang on about the greedy McCormack please and start a thread about telling us so too ?

We looked on the road the same we looked the past 3 seasons roughly. Toothless. No energy, no confidence, no leadership anywhere on the pitch. Just knocking it around aimlessly, huffing and puffing with very little to show for. We need to buy a senior striker. I like Perez but he's not the guy. I like Mitro too but not sure he's the guy either. Perez, Armstrong, Gayle, they're all supporting strikers in my book. We need a competent powerful target man.

Yes Charlie Austin was the guy we should have gotten.
Mitrovic is the best of what we have. He wouldn't have been anonymous like Gayle there, just being marked out of the game. That said, I agree, we need another striker and a senior/proven one. Armstrong will almost certainly be sent out on loan in the next couple of weeks.

I wouldn't worry too much lads. This reminds me of our second season in League 1; started as one of the biggest favourites in the divisions history n lost at home to Plymouth on the opening day! <laugh>

Still expect you to be promoted comfortably and for what it's worth that year we went up n Argyle went down. Wouldn't be suprised to see the same result come seasons end....

All part of Rafa's master plan- lose the first game, get Ashley to sign Paul Pogba and then win the league.

Your next door neighbours went an entire season without watching their team lose ?, that is some claim to fame pal. <applause>
Don't be mean there was a dad and two sons and more often than not one of them could not go. So I saw a lot of Arsenal's home games that season..
The longer the unbeaten run went on the atmosphere in the ground was amazing

Shelvey should be given a chance in the division I feel. Im hoping Diame will do much better in midfield in terms of putting a stamp on the game, if not him, Tiote if he's still around. Our midfield was just bossed yesterday, big time. I guess they had a man over too so maybe Rafa needs to take the blame for that. He probably felt we had the quality to play 2 vs 3, wasn't the case. Kinda sick of seeing Colback time and time again, I know he tries but physically..he's just lacking. He's small and he doesn't make up for it with pace nor energy. Anita the same really, they're okay in a 3 man midfield, Anita being the superior player to Colback and they should never start together again.

Not to worried about losing to Fulham, we always do. There were 2 clear cut pens for us we didn't get. But Fulham deserved to win, they played the much better football. There was no real conviction in our front 4 yesterday.
