I first started watching Rovers at Eastville, then Twerton and now the Mem,with many false dawns for a new stadium along the way. Each ground had its own charm and the Rovers made it their home. I would like to see the Mem become a travellers park even if only for a short while just to upset those who have been against every thing we have tried to do to make things better for the club and move it forward

Born in the early 80's. Wasnt allowed to go until late 80's early 90's. I remember being at Eastville but no idea who was playing. My 1st game at Twerton was Rovers 1 West Brom 1 which was either 1st or last game of the season. There was trouble in the Pop stand and fans got moved on the pitch which included me!

I was born in the mid 70's....<yikes>
I remember that game captain as though it was yesterday. Me and my dad went on the train, and the whole carriage was full of west brom fans dressed in hari Krishna out fits... All pi**ed up! It was the last game of the season.
I remember the ref was just about to start the game, and those bloody idiots came charging round the back of the popular stand hitting anything in there way!!!all I can remember hearing is a slapping sound of fist's hitting faces! Some guy on the floor getting the boot laid into him, which nearly killed the bloke!!
I was only young and ended up on the pitch from the force of the pushing. I'd lost my dad.. So I went and stood next to steve Yates where I thought I'd be safe. Then my dad tapped me on the shoulder and we stood on the pitch until the police cleared it all.
That was my first taste at a very young age of football violence, not nice for a young kid to witness!
And until this day because of that game I hate west brom as much as I hate the s**t....!!

Does show any trouble. I remember the local news later showing clips of the trouble and I was seen on the pitch looking rather scared <laugh>
