German international footballer from 60' and 70's. Passed away today.

Scored one of Hamburg's goals on that fateful night in 1968 when our hopes of reaching the European Cup Winners Cup Final were dashed.

My first visit to Ninian supporting Cardiff.

A very good player in his time. I think Hamburg were his only German club. For some weird reason he played one game for Cork Celtic in 1978.

Played for West Germany v England in the 1966 World Cup Final.

Sad to hear of his passing.
As you say, it stirs up memories of that atmospheric and eventful night at Ninian Park.
Just a shame that the memory on this occasion was stirred up by the passing of one of the protagonists.
