you utter melt. What part of "we don't like him" do you not understand? It's got nothing to do with his managerial abilities as he IS a good manager, we just dislike the man and always will. You will find actually most of us are grateful for what he's done this season if you bothered to ask people rather than reading the epitome of all truth that is the mirror .
In fairness Drogs a lot of the vitriol wasn't just because you lot didn't like him. I heard/read countless fans saying he'd be a disaster and he'd ruin your season, his record wasn't good enough etc
Hope he goes to PSG and they draw Chelsea in the champions league. Then runs* down the touchline celebrating PSG's goals at Stamford Bridge gesturing at the Chelsea fans to be quiet** *walking is probably more realistic **they don't make any noise anyway so that's probably unnecessary
I want Chelsea to win absolutely nothing next year, no matter who their manager is, how much foot stamping their owner or fans do, wave plastic flags or A4 sheets of paper...... Because I want Liverpool to win it all. We won't, so yes I'll say I still want you to win nothing just to see the Kevanesque fits that I witnessed this year!
That is true and like I said mate, look on our board and you'll see a lot of people happily admitting they were wrong.
As I said in my initial post Drogs I accept plenty have done just that. I'll just never understand how any set of fans can throw so much abuse at their own manager whether or not you like him. Fair enough if he's wrecked a team but first game? It was cowardly to focus the anger on Benitez when the issue was RDM getting sacked. If your lot felt so strongly about him being sacked the anger should have been aimed at Abramovich but you wouldn't do that for fear he'll just bugger off. It was collective bullying and frankly it stank mate (and I'm not even Rafas biggest fan). You didn't have to love him or even like but shouting and screaming at him was taking your anger out on the wrong man and it was (IMO) an appauling way to treat any man.
Now that would be priceless,Rafa doing a Mourinho down the touchline, sliding on his knees and doing the Shussshhh.
Yeah it's our fault that he walked straight down the tunnel right after the final whistle and never came back out Terribly one sided article which makes flat out lies, it itself recognises how bad it is by even mentioning that there were fans who made banners thanking him and that he was actually thanked publicly by at least one of our players. How do they know he wasn't thanked by the rest of them in person? Surely they should know considering the media follow them around like a dog on heat. Awful article, you should be embarrassed you posted it honestly.
You won't understand because you've never experienced it. If someone who managed a team you despised for various reasons and had insulted your fans, then came to manage your club a few years later after a fan favourite and club legend was sacked, you would find out. The heavy abuse died down quickly after he was appointed. The media made much more of it then it was by picking and choosing way to say and show. They had to have something grab the headlines considering how boring the title race was becoming. At times they were desperate to make something out of nothing. When he "hit back" at the fans, all the journos were trying to build up this thing that he was on the verge of getting sacked and the fans would be after his blood. In our following match however there was nothing of the like. No one I know is scared of Abramovich leaving, we have in the past aimed our hate towards him too. After Mourinho was sacked there were a load of fans gathered outside Stamford Bridge singing "Fuck off Abramovich". It's just that this time it was easier to aim it towards the manager because of who he had previously managed and what he had said about us during his time there.
A lot of them actually said fair play to him, and thank you, so i'll let it go to be honest. Rafa has come out of this looking fantastic anyway.
I stopped reading at the point you said "a team we despise" the difference between us is simple though...I'd support any manager in the Liverpool job. Maureen, Moyes even Fungus. No exceptions.
I think it was a mixture of discontent for Rafa going back on his word of 'I'll never manage them' and also Roman and the 2 muppets below h being so out of touch with fans by going through with it. I'm also an advocate of if you're big enough to dish it out you're big enough to take it, Rafa was big enough to dish it out. I'll give it to him though, he handled it superbly considering. And also billy, maybe you wouldn't boo the three blokes you mentioned but you have to admit a large portion of your support would hound Fergie silly.
I firmly believe the dislike of Rafa was because he managed Liverpool who have caused Chelsea fans heartache. Get this and this is why I find the illogical dislike of Rafa for his comments hilarious. You were calling him the fat Spanish waiter and such prior to him saying what he said. So, it is basically you lot as individuals were giving him stick and the minute he says something about Chelsea fans he is the bad guy, kind of like when someone slags you and you slag them back and they cry, like in a school yard, that is the mentality here, the only difference is Rafa didn't make it personal about any of you as individuals with a personal attack but Chelsea fans have been attacking Rafa personally well before he said anything about Chelsea fans. I doubt the logic of this would escape you Drogs. I think Rafa was well disliked by your fans prior to saying anything anyway. You gotta laugh at the wee bit of hypocrisy from Chelsea fans. The comments are just a face to the already existing dislike present at the Bridge. Also, what he said, it is the only logic that can be used so as to not admit you were wrong (not you personally) that and bleating on about being 3 points behind United without even considering all of the dynamics of walking into a new club with a team trying to phase out old important dressing room affecting players, in a club who's fans hate you whilst knowing it is a temporary job. Under those circumstances Chelsea's season ending results are outstanding
Maybe, but it's definitely not purely due to that. Despite the comments I just never liked him, same with a few non Chelsea fans I know. Nobody can deny his record with Valencia, Liverpool and even ourselves but there's something very dislikable about him. The comments about our fans just intensified the hate even more and it would for Liverpool fans too had the same situation occurred. Oh and btw he will always be the Fat Spanish Waiter . Never understood why you lot took such offence to that, it's a very tongue in cheek comment.
This ^... I hope they get there "darling special one back" and go royally tit's up next season. They are absolutely classless and as for Terry in his kit .........."££$%^^%£%^&*(.
