Except we're not about to do a Pompei are we? So I dont see the relevance of that comparison. We're being run financially astutely.

I didnt have you down as the type to meekly accept the crumbs thrown our way Hatsta.

Even if the name change brought in tens of millions it wouldn't last. Clubs would be queueing up to call themselves the marauders or whatever. And football would have been degraded for nothing. That's what the FA fear.

i can't be arsed to cover old ground but I'm intrigued as to how you consider racking up a debt of around £70m as being run financially astutely?

I know... what next... teams would be competing for the FA Budweiser Cup.
Funniest thing you've said for a while.... "can't be arsed to cover old ground"... All you do is regurgitate the same old fart on a soapbox **** multiple times every day.

Well, all that was left there after the trouble was ash covering everything... Which is pretty similar to City circa 2002.

Old Ash wasn't covering much in 2010, though. I thought the gag would work better with a 2002 analogy.

This argument of its better than doing nothing is laughable, like all the other bollocks posted on here to try and justify tuis ridiculous situation.

We're doing less than nothing, we're actually going out of our way to reduce our brand's reach. How are we ahead of the game in India Chazz? Loads of clubs were there, but we had Indian fans asking which club we actually were.

As has been the case since a name change was first suggested, there's still no logic or reasoning to suggest it would make even one penny. Allam hasn't been able to explain how it can make money, he's got his staff inventing sponsorship deals we might have had, which when questioned by fans, are actually nothing to do with the club's name. It's pathetic.

There's still absolutely no defence for this abomination of an idea after a year and a half of it.

It's embarrassing and sad that we've got some fans for whom the owner is so important that they still support this after all that's gone on and all the available evidence.
