Everton playing in Russia on Thursday is bound to come at a cost. Only saw the last 20 mins of the Anfield game, where Everton seemed to lack any power up front. Having said that the Jagielka goal was unstoppable, but other than that I saw nothing special. Maybe he had an off game, but Baines looked poor, which was a bit of a shock, as he's normally so dependable.

Here's a head scratcher. Why is this fixture regularly a twelve o'clock kick off? It's only this one too.

Can only assume Chief it's 12 o'clock to suit other countries on pay TV. Maybe its because we are still on UK summertime

Also guessing so it don't clash with the other games, they all have strange kick off times that day

Man Utd v Everton 12.00 live on BT
Chelsea v Arsenal 14.05 live on Sky
West Ham v QPR 16.15 live on Sky

That West Ham kick off is wierd. I thought the broadcasting rules were that you couldn't have a live game televised whilst other premiership games we being played

Reported that Phil Jones, Carrick (and dare I say Fellaini) are back for the Everton game.

I would only start one of returning defensive players. Probably carrick in dm with blind amd herrera in midfield.

Jones hasn't been out that long. He is the one I'd want back more than anyone atm. I would have in as CB with Rojo. Keep Shaw at LB.

Agree about Carrick as that holding midfielder.

I think Jones will be a very positive addition to the defence. I'm perplexed as to why so many people, mostly Dippers and the Chelsea sages, think he's ****e. He's 22.

I think it's mainly the gurning. He's only ever ridiculed for that...and somehow that face pulling equates to a **** defender? For most of the time he played as a DM last season, he was excellent as well. In fact, if we had Evans fit, I'd be happy to have Jones as DM with Evans and Rojo behind.

Herrera out for 3 weeks with a rib injury. FFS I hate this crap, he has been brilliant. Our midfield has depended on him these last 3 games and now he's injured. Bigger miss than Rooney.

Bigger miss than anyone, he has been the thread that stitches everything together between defence and attack. For me he has been our most consistant and best player so far (even though di Maria has been the most eyecatching).
Where did you get 3 weeks from? all i have seen is several weeks.

Heard Savage on radio 5 tonight saying he played with a fractured rib and broken toe, he is either thick or didn`t know that depending on the rib and where the break is, it could puncture a lung if it moved in a collision or fall.

It never rains but it pours. FFS I cannot believe how the players go missing like that. Defenders injured, suspended, rooney suspended, Herrera injured...I cannot believe the ****ing luck United is currently having...

I could not agree more. He has been the one I've been impressed with the most. I read it on here...

Maybe if he's off for 3 weeks and with the international break, he won't miss anymore than the Everton game? If Fergie was around, the cynic in me would say the injury was a tad convenient <laugh>

Would Blackett be available for the Everton game?

No Rooney, no Herrera, no shaw, no jones, no smalling, no Evans, no carrick .will we ever get our most of the key players back in the same team?

Think Blackett gets a two match ban for a straight red. Whats wrong with Shaw?
