He was totally within his rights.....not a twat at all......got every dive call right......what ban will he get? Am guessing it'll just be the one game
I think he dived for the dive but diving is a act of god. hahahaha So you are happy with how things are going, No play time for Mata who is one of your better players Herrera hauled off after a decent 45 minutes and plays Fellani who you might say has been playing well but that's ok if you want to play like Wimbledon 88 team. The players are scared to make mistakes which results in them making more mistakes. I think VG doesn't trust these players which is why he results in knocking 50 yard diagonal passes to Fellani who either a) fouls people or b) chests it down and United build from there apart from that there is not much else. Where is the inventiveness or the skill, Di Maria has been poor I'll agree and Januzaj is so one dimensional that Valencia and Young are your most 2 creative players who are both wing backs. If I were a United fan now I'd be worried especially against the teams you are playing in the next month this will break or make VG and the way you are playing will probably break him.
Yeah, just one game for two yellows. Think it might be for the best, Januzaj is looking like he is hitting form and di Maria needs time to get his head right.
He looked ok first half, fantastic ball for Rooneys goal. Still seems like he gets kicked out of games though.
1 Not exactly happy but have seen deffinate signes of improvement in the last few games, our goals for/against and league position tell me we are not as bad as people like to think (unless they think most other teams are even worse), or maybe they just expect us to be so much better than everyone else. Mata should play more once we get some control of games, Herrera came off because he had a knock and was on a yellow card, he is needed for the run in. 2 I am worried, very worried. We have a very hard run in and although we have already beat or drawn with several of the better teams in that run it will still be a case of "pray to the gods" every game
I think the reason your goals against is not too bad is probably because of De Gea having a one in lifetime worldie season, your home record has improved from last season but your away record is terrible for a side with top 4 ambitions.
Why did Herrera come off? Thought he was one of your better players first half. Kept the tempo up and attacking moves flowing. Arsenal didn't have to do much 2nd half other than sit back and counter as everything was so slow
What a ****ing waste of a match. Great I'm sure for the neutrals but agonising for the United fans. I expected some dire match but not this error strewn shambles. My gut feeling was wrong. No rational reason why we would or should win. LVG will be happy. His team had more than 2/3 of the possession. His motto is and has always been: possession possession possession. "As long as the team keeps the ball it is doing well" The opposing teams now have worked out what he is on about. They will let him have the ball , playing in front of them knowing that he will take few risks to lose the ****ing ball. Tough run ahead. All home matches are now must wins INCLUDING the City and Arsenal matches. The odds are fully against United on this showing. Instead of this FA match showing the players playing to their strength and having more freedom, it instead showed the players sticking to a rigid possession gameplan. Di Maria has so far been a huge disappointment . He got himself needlessly sent off. Oliver the ref got many decisions right but he wasn't that brave in not giving bellerin a second yellow was he? But the ref wasn't the reason for us losing. The only ****ing thing that LVG got right was in his assessment that arsenal didn't beat us. We ****ing beat ourselves. I thought the recovery will take a long time (2-3 years after SAF ) but it looks like it will be much much longer than even I feared and that ****ing £300m investment will be necessary.
I think the time for a quick fix for you lot has gone, I don't think that throwing money at players like Di Maria is sensible. You need good young players with potential at a sensible price along with promotions from the academy (Blackett, Wilson for example). Di Maria is a good example at the moment of a player that has cost you a lot of money and is simply not performing, he may never come good and if that's the case it's a lot of monry to lose, at least with a younger player you have time to develop and mould him into what is needed.
This made me laugh - Even if it was McNulty "Adnan Januzaj also attempted to deceive Oliver with a dive so late it almost came in the opening moments of Sunday's game with Spurs. Desperation did not cover it."
