The youth of yesteryear were brought up by their fathers and grandfathers and taught just what their responsibilities were, today’s youth are raised by Caitlin Moran, Dianne Abbott, Owen Jones and Russell Brand and are taught that your cock does not define your gender, only you can do that by reading their opinions and deciding for ‘yourself’. We’d be obliterated today were it not for the technical advances of modern warfare.
Most of them had no choice. They were conscripted. You would have been conscripted too. So you did have a choice, fight or jail. As for those who choose to join the armed forces these days. Making that choice doesn't make them stupid. Again those in the armed forces come from all walks of life and join up for all kinds of reasons. They don't get to choose where they are sent. The idiots in Westminster decide that. The Government of this nation has an obligation not to put them in harm's way without just cause. They have to swear to that when they take office. Unfortunately politicians are cùnts and seldom live up to their obligations.

Not sure if they teach WWII history in schools now? If we don’t learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. Also, there’s no point learning about WWII without learning what led up to it; the Wall Street Crash, the Great Depression, the rise of Nationalism in Europe, the scapegoating of a people and a religion, US isolationism (America First), the rise of the far right, fantasies about the supposed glory of a former empire (Mussolini).
The European war was brought about by the aftermath of WW1. WW1 was a bun fight between European royal families that killed millions. So wee Betty shedding crocodile tears over the "glorious fallen" is pretty ironic.

I was told that if I took GCSE history I would spend the entire time outside the classroom in the hallway as the teacher hated me that much so I dropped it after year 9 and did something else instead. Thanks to Call of Duty and Peyton Manning I have heard of all the phrases apart from Gold and knew what this thread was about based on the title.
