Not sure but Klose better score a few more while he can, as I expect Muller may have him in his sights <laugh>

According to Wiki Muller is on 9 goals, so unless they have updated it quickly then I guess he is on 10. Previously he had 9 in 9 games, and now it could be 10 in 10 so a goal a game.

Insane isn't it. At this rate he'll be hitting the 20 goal landmark by the time he has finished playing!

Excellent! Didn't think they would be progressing before the World Cup kicked off, when you consider the group they were in. On the balance of things you have to say they deserve it too.

He has been living out there for quite a while now I do believe, in California I think. His wife is American too. I didn't know this until I checked just now but apparently he ended his career by coming out of retirement and then playing for Orange County Blue Star (4th tier)!

Fun fact I just found out also, the last game of his high-level playing career was against us!

Thought we would hold them to a zero-zero tie, but then Muller scored a sick goal. That dude is a stud.

We showed good hustle, and our defense made some good steals. The halfbacks did a good job in the center of the field, but they slipped a lot so maybe they should have changed their cleats. The coach had the right strategy and there were at least a couple good plays. Besler took a good shot in the shin guard but he was okay. I was worried we might cough up another goal in overtime. It was a good score even though we got shut out.

The ref did a good job on getting the offsides and hands calls right. It was an awesome soccer game even though I hate the home uniforms.

While we're talking of the A-S-A found this article and its a worthy read as its one of the most bigoted, uninformed and downright ridiculous pieces i've ever come across...and its ****ing hilarious! I especially like how much hate she got in the comments.

    Sample paragraphs:

Do you know about Ann Coulter?

If you don't, she makes her living being a right-wing trolling bigot.

Yeah, like with articles in the Daily Mail over here, there are a lot of "journalists" in the States who you have to just ignore.

I have many American friends, and basically they consider 'soccer' to be a girls sport. Most girls play it at school and the USA ladies team have been world champions. Your sample paragraph is also correct in that the only position with any cred is the goalkeeper.

However, I think that that paragraph is wrong in that eventually, the rest of the USA will come round. Moms love soccer for their kids. Its not dangerous, its not expensive and its inclusive. I can't see how a game that is played by so many can ultimately fail. Also, it is one of the few sports that the USA can play on a world stage.

I used to coach in America back in the 80's and I must admit that I'm surprised it hasn't properly caught on before now as the players were very enthusiastic, very fit and (some of them) superb.

Well done USA. Always a good bet to make the second round as they have players who have footballing intelligence. A well organised team. Unlike England or Italy or Portugal or even Spain this time round!!!
