It wouldn't surprise me if Maldo beats Bottas in the race, he may not be very good in qualifying this year but his race pace has been thousands of times better than Bottas all season, who it seems is just quick and has no race pace (a new Ricciardo it seems). If you put Maldo 2012 qualifying and 2013 race pace together then you have a really good driver and I think he'll keep up with Grosjean at least next year. (if he goes to Lotus)
I like your analysis! He does seem a bit mental this weekend though. Tell that to the teams who haven't signed him yet. If I was Hulk, I'd be Maldo by now! Sorry, I should have been clearer, I meant that those drivers I named have things to prove but for differing reasons.

I like how the stewards are finally giving proper penalties to backmarkers. Chilton has a drive through penalty at the beginning of the race, like Pic had in Japan. Much better to do this if you are starting near or at the back of the grid.
Seems the rally is now over so I have nothing to stop me from watching the race I know what the result will be but I always try and kid myself right up until the first corner.
The only hope we've got is that Vettel's gearbox doesn't hold, apparently Red Bull are nervous because it's done 4 races and two sets of doughnuts.
Thats just Red Bull trying to get people to concentrate on their cars I'll be watching the BBC show in bed so I can always just fall asleep, every cloud!
