Like I said ages ago VAR will ensure newcastle do not finish top 6 come May. Newcastle will have to have a side that doesn't rely on the big decisions to break into the top 6.
It's all been said, but I just have to reaffirm how dreadfully poor Longstaff particularly was today. Wood too, but that goes without saying... I mean, these kinds of games we need to be able to take a chance... We created plenty. Top and bottom of it - a bit more quality and that's 3 points. However... Delighted to be 3rd at this stage. MUCH better than I had hopped for, and January looms, so let's get the cheque book out and draft in a couple of quality signings.
I'm not sure Newcastle have the money to spend much this January you know. Seems like ffp is knocking on the door.
The ref was dreadful today .. he's too fat BTW never where he needed to be ... Still no excuse for longstaff and woods Sunday league efforts
I'd just not bother for a while rather than sell anyone of note . 75% of the squad are championship players so I'd focus on upgrading the turd before the inconsistent. Im hoping they spend another 100 million this January but it would appear there's nothing much to spend.
Yes because he's an upgrade on Murphy and fraser.... the issue we've got is depth.... some of our squad are so horrendously bad they shouldn't be anywhere close to the pitch , but they do over a season they get quite a lot of game time.
Same here I couldn't tell Thought it would have been soft but it was no different to what Leeds were being awarded for free kicks They went down very softly but got the free kicks
We're going to get beat on Tuesday like but it's free hit so something to just embrace. We're doing well, but over the next 5 months we'll be the Derek chisora of the top 10
Pretty sure they can spend a chunk, but would be a bit scuppered come summer. New deals on sponsorship haven't washed through books yet...
