Great result for Town! Big boost, on to the league, cheerio everyone, hear those singing fans, from the Gaffer in Spain!
Hell yeah! A 4-1 win and through to the next round. I didn't watch it but it sounds like we're more suited to playing Championship teams than park the bus League One opposition. The performances may be frustrating sometimes but I'd like to think the style of football McKenna has got us playing will pay dividends if we can get promoted. And as I type this Ian Westlake has just said something similar. Our way of playing is being drummed into the players and it will benefit us in the long run to stick to the process. We'll be more than ready if we can get to the Championship.
Exactly my thoughts, Spanish. If we can get out of this division, our style of play will be well suited against clubs that will be less likely to defend en masse against us. I’m sure Rotherham weren’t fielding a full strength side, but then again we weren’t either. What a morale boosting win and fine performance. Rotherham have had our number for years, so it’s nice to actually get a rare win against them. Plymouth dropping points in the league is also a nice added bonus.
And to make 8 changes and still perform well in that 1st half shows good character and strength in depth. Without seeing it, motm must be young Humphreys. Finally, if potential new signings needed convincing, they can now sign up for an ambitious Club.
Spanish! Come on Nuggets, Spanish doesn't write this much sense We made a lot of changes to our team today, Rotherham made one from the their last game.
Rotherham were totally outclassed today and their goal from the spot flattered them, in fact they could still be playing now and wouldnt have scored whereas Town would be well into double figures, man of the match today was Cam Humphreys for me but there were good performances all over the pitch, great football, great entertainment, and all for £5 for a ticket !!
I was at Bloomfield Road way back in 2010 last time we got through the 3rd round. Feels great that's no longer the last time. Feels a bit of a statement win - national media coverage doesn't agree, but - we've been breaking "glass ceilings" since KM arrived. A real confidence boost for club and fans. Wrexham in round 4 please.
Home draw against Burnley in the fourth round. Top of the table and playing much more attractive football under Kompany. It’ll be good to see how we fare against a side of their quality.
Don’t see us winning this but a great exercise for McKenna and the players to really test themselves.
