Basically, don't ask him to do anything other than stand around in the box waiting on headers and tap-ins. What use is scoring 7 goals when they've conceded 42? For what its worth, he'd probably score for fun at Everton and rarely be asked to track back
See whether he is available on loan with an option to buy in Summer. I don't know much about him but he sounds like a decent striker.
Question - how long will it take for us to stop giving a **** about Mitrovic? Do we not think "Everton interest in Fulham striker" is probably now far enough removed from NUFC to stop?! Christ, he wasn't even remotely good. Sent off more times than he scored.
It's obvious that Rafa doesn't like Mitro's attitude or temper! The big Serbian has started complaining already despite playing every week. Good riddance I say.
You have to love these rumours and how our fans interpret them. He is 'said' to be unsettled following the departure of Jokanovic. No mention of who has said this, but hey don't let the facts get in the way of a good yarn. Then our fans react one of two ways: The haters - those who seem unwilling to accept that under the right circumstances he represents a very very good player of his type for his age. Hence PL 2nd tier clubs like Everton are linked (way above ourselves). - Well they jump down the line of him being a troublemaker or just regurgitate their assertions about him not being good enough for the PL. Or bring up his temperament. I think he only has 3 or 4 yellows to his name.... At least they would spout it if you could make them out while they are gargling Rafa's ballsack. The lovers - We should sign him. Rafa dropped a bollock. The reality. Probably that he is a top young talent for the type of striker that he is, but he still had to be sold as the manager didn't think he suited his style of play and didn't want to change it. Certainly those ITK in football would seem to disagree with the bitter haters however. He has looked a top young talent since being given a chance. For what its worth I don't think he will last long at Fulham due to the choice of manager. Not Ranieri type of striker at all. He likes a mobile striker who will make constant runs in behind. Like Rafa he'll have a big man in the squad, but its for the bit part role. That said he was glowing in his praise of Mitro and bigged him up as one of the best goalscorers in Europe (probably getting a bit carried away - must be a NUFC supporter deep down)
Leave him at Fulham, watch them get relegated with the worse defensive display the EPL has ever seen and buy him back while maintaining a profit on the transfers. Rafa and Mike have seen this all coming and are geniuses.
There has been nothing to suggest that his performances post SJ is that he is sulking - or is angling for a move. At this time of the year when the winter transfer window is due to open it is a given that rumour and counter rumour will abound. Given our predicament,at the moment it is hard to see any denouement other than relegation. We have a raft of players who are underachieving and it would be wrong to target Mitrovic as a prime example. I would like to think that on Saturday we will give you a game, and that Mitro will show you what you have been missing, in the real world this is not going to happen,we will be soundly beaten after giving a spineless performance that has characterised our season so far!
I think we put a clause in his sale terms that he wasn’t allowed to play against us this year so he won’t embarrass Rafa.
You have a worse home record than us - and that is saying something!,however whether we have one Mitro,10 Mitro's or no Mitro's you will still win the game at a canter. No chance of Rafa being embarrassed!
I don’t know about that. It’ll be a close game. Sit back and counter us. You’ll win if you play that way.
