Unreserved Seating

I go into the Vic Rd end with my youngest and actually there is usually a good atmosphere there mainly due to close proximity to the away fans. One thing that occurs to me is can we still use that part of the East Stand closet to the Rookery? That surely could pass an Alf and safety inspection as it isn't that bad. If so wouldn't that be a good place to try out an unreserved ticket experiment? - unless of course you get stuck behind a stanchion.
 
Unbelievable. My friend, who sits next to me in the Rookery with his daughter, ST holder, has been sent tickets by the club to move seats to accomodate Vicarage Road end people who want to move!! What on earth are the club thinking, moving people who sit in a seat regularly, when there are surely enough spare seats, not taken by ST holders, and why on earth would they think that would be ok?? My friend is furious. He sits where he does on purpose because his daughter is little and he's near the exit...and near me!

As it happens, i won't be at the Cardiff game, so he can sit in my seats, but the club don't know that! Blinkin' ridiculous!

:) well thank you! In that case, i will firmly believe it isn't me...but could very well be the woman behind me (which i agree, would be strange, since that would put us both in the same seat lol)...coz she's got to be the most annoying woman with the most ridiculous comments at the Vic!

Well the unreserved seating idea has been passed and will be trialled at the Cardiff game, so the club are definately listening to the fans and what we want, this way all are happy. The fans that prefer not sing, stand and create an atmosphere dont have to sit next to the group of people that do want this.

Please anybody that is reading this that wants to sing, have confidence that people will be moving. We are going To the Vic End and i cant think of any better way than to celebrate beating Cardiff than being directly by the side of the Cardiff fans (no i dont fight).

Lets all do this and make the Vic a noisy ground.

Must admit H I am in favour of unreserved seating it might inject some atmosphere into our library and help spur the lads on .If some folk have to move on one or 2 games a season then so be it ,the fans suggested the idea and the club listened,you cant please all the folk all the time,thus you must pander to the majority.

Any idea that will make the Vic a bit noiser should be tried and supported by all Hornets. Must say I was disapointed by the noise from the rookery at the Derby game I was sat near Halfway line and all I could hear were the derby fans ! This has to be adressed ,until we get a new east stand and stick trial safe terracing (german style) in it , I fear we will always be a library . I hope I`m wrong but the atmosphere nowadays is ****e compared to the terraced days of 20000 plus crowds.

i'm all for it, it's a brilliant idea and will hopefully get the place rocking! What i don't get is why they've had to move my friends from their seats to make room for Vic Road end fans...when my friend is a ST holder! There's plenty of other seats available, they don't need to move ST holders!
 
Not sure about the unreserved seating, though why is it there has always been a better atmosphere and more singing amongst away support? Is this due to being the younger fan contingent, the more die hard supporters, more excitement and drinking on away days when people travel and frequent the local watering holes? Perhaps the club should give out free drink and that'll get the golden oldies dancing in the aisles and singing "My old man said be a Luton fan..." etc.

Better atmosphere and singing would definately get the players more up for it and is one of the reasons why the Vic is not a fortress (as well as only having three sides to the ground).
