What you're saying is there's actually only one in Leicester. Wolves have rich owners and spunked hundreds of millions. Look its actually very soothing when you accept the reality Nufc is where it should be and could only get in the top 8 higher by spending hundreds of millions it doesn't have. It could however do better by changing its scouts, improving its facilities, coaches and manager though... I don't think it spends well. This is the only area of genuine complaint that nufc have.. Everything else they're demonstrably wrong about
I never realised that Newcastle did not own the Sid James Park, or that they do not have a great training ground. Mind we have a modern excellent ground and a excellent training ground, but we are in the turd division.... hmmm
As he is not a footy person the cockney mafia came in, and not only ill advised him but burned his fingers badly so much so he is very weary now
There's been plenty look at the club and only the Saudis felt they had the funds to make money over decades. There was a billionaire spoke about interest in nufc but said when he looked at it there just wasn't much opportunity there to make money. He spoke also about not being able to increase capacity and ultimately that it's not a smart investment. Newcastle fans just can't accept things and just let it go... The Amber and nectar they tasted with Keegan and Bobby got them hooked on something the club couldn't afford. A new buyer will hopefully come.
not at what Ashley wants though, he would have to reduce his price dramatically, Its only the fans worth investing in how much would you value that at
Yes it's also unhelpful that he wants over 300 million. You could go and buy Nottingham forrest who also have a good fanbase for 50 million. Sunderland for example what did they sell for?
I think Donald was asking 35 million which although we are in the turd tier and he'd stripped the club bare, we still had a premier League stadium and academy and apparently were debt free after losing millions every year under Short. You's not owning your ground doesn't look good. Your treading water and hoping for someone to throw you a £350mil lifejacket. I'm not gloating or taking the pìss and wouldn't want to see you go under as a club. But when I look at our new owner, young, rich, enthusiastic and a long term plan. I can see ours being a more favourable acquisition. The structure is there already. He's put everything in place with detail it seems, and running the club well. Gone is squandering, and talented young hungry players are coming in free or on loan. I imagine he will enjoy all that he's building and hopefully we are a model run club when we get back to the premier League. It's just a toy for the Saudis to throw money at until they get bored. I look at Chelski and Mansour city and for all their recent success it looks plastic imo. I hope you lot go down this season and I hope we go up. Then we do the double over you's But I hope we both go up to the prem at the first asking. (Us as champions, you's struggle in the play offs and scrape through) Then we can get back to looking forward to playing each other in the top flight, regardless of who wins the prem
Not many clubs aren't losing money though are they? You're a Sunderland fans and see things the most negative way possible to soothe your current plight. From my perspective I see a few flickers within the burning embers of your ruined club and it's really not anything I'm concerned about. Sunderland fans are assuming everythings going to great and Newcastle fans are hoping for a takeover that would see any hopes of an uprising on wearside evaporate before it gets going. It's a pivotal moment in a 400 year old rivalry and Sunderland are on the brink of being wiped out completely not the other way around.
Of course you're I've just told you that Sunderland fans are telling themselves what they need to and nufc fans are hoping for a takeover that would finish you all off for eternity. That's just the reality of where tings are
But we've got our takeover Woy Anyways, I wasn't taking the pìss You've obviously construed it as that though.
That's what I mean you're assuming it's going to be great, but you're underestimating the situation. Newcastle are a Premier league club that isn't losing money and if it gets this takeover or another then I'm afraid you're going to struggle to keep your self soothing going
Yes I'm hoping things will be fine at least for us. I didn't say "great". I also never alluded to the fact I thought it was a given. But I reiterate, we own our stadium and academy so have real estate assets. We also have acquired an owner with wealth, football knowledge and background who sees a long term plan. Are you surprised at us being happy with that after what we've had ? I'm sure you would be. I mean, your obviously not happy now even though your "in the premier League". Truth hurts doesn't it Woy ?. Ps. I don't think you will fold as a club. And again, I wouldn't like to see it happen. It could of happened to us after all. But no one is immune to it
