Yes but you're not a Sunderland fan really are you - otherwise you wouldn't post this inane negative drivel when the rest of us are very happy with the way things have gone.

Wickham - unproven yes but one of the hottest english prospects with teams like Spurs and Liverpool interested.
Gardner - good solid experienced player who scored 10 goals from midfield last season - Sunderland's top midfield scorer?? 3 wasn't it!
Larsson - Proven Premier league player and Arsenal tried to sign him back for the squad
Won - cost very little and is highly thought of (and is 6'2" and quick) unproven but not for much money.
Westwood - Looks an excellent keeper and I think will be our number 1 come the new season

You'll be hard pushed to find a SAFC fan that isn't happy with the signings. O'shea, Brown and Gibson - O'Shea would slot into most squads in the EPL but apparently you're not happy with this either so go watch the Craas as you seem more suited to their board rather than ours

Also to the OP - You state about Bruce not signing proven quality then ask him to go for Fabiano?? What has Fabiano done in the EPL??

In a slightly more serious moment - isn`t the real issue that we have all been spoilt over the first couple of weeks in this window - we have been the most active club of those in and around our level. We would all ove to see Tevez and Fabregas donning a red and white shirt at the SOL but that is a totally different league, way out of our range and is always likely to be the case. We have made some of the biggest signings of the window (at our level) so far, we all want what is best for the club so are keen to see more (and we all seem to agree a couple of defenders, a left sided midfielder and a forward to help Gyan whilst the others get fit/accustomed).

Then, when you have things like "Gyan wants away" in the morning everyone gets nervy (myself included) and we all get a tad fractious!

SNQ stated that we wouldn`t sign anyone until the summer (think he might have said July) so if we`ve not started yet...Bruce says he`ll look for some loans too (no sign as yet)... good things to come, will we get everyone we want - NO - will we all be chuffed with who we do get - NO - will we have a better squad at the start of the season than we did last - pretty certain we will (save for Judas but depending on who we pick up)

Let`s take a breath and give Bruce, Quinn et al some space and see what we get

We have changed but not improved on last season's squad so far, still lots of work to do if we are to have a another top ten season.

Onouha, Welbeck, Bent, Mensah, Muntari, Henderson, Zenden all out,

Whickham, Larsson, Gardner, Dong Won & Westwood in.

Still seriously lacking I'm afraid but still O'Shea will take Mensah's place but upfront we are much weaker than last season

But where were we on 5th July 2010 - of those you mention I can`t think we had more than Bent, Henderson and Zenden - time to come through yet KTF

Ok you are very happy with at best a mid table finsh next season then are you!? Because I'm
Sure I speak for alot of safc fans I'm definatly not, don't get me wrong I love bruce and would hate to lose him, but if these signings don't pay off then he's in alot of trouble as inbrucewetrust just rightly said we are weaker than last year in the signings we have so far..... Got, and he missed out jones in them players he listed.

I'm happy with things so far and more to come. To call Oshea and Brown squad players may be factualy true but very unfair
