If a woman is assaulting you can deal with her as if she was a man.

I've never hit a woman and when I've felt I might be in for a bit of a confrontation I've walked away.

I wouldn't be one of those bloked who stands there and gets punched without reacting - I'm sorry I'm a human being and will not and should not have to put up with that without defending myself.

    You got it!

Facebook - look at me and what I've achieved.

For some people it seems they've not legitimately done anything/been anywhere until they've announced it formerly.

I flew a plane earlier this year which was a 30th birthday gift - mates mrs asked me why I haven't put it on Facebook.

Do I need Facebook approval? ****ing no!

My ego can handle the fact that I know I've flown a plane even if someone I used to know 15 years ago isn't aware!

Who says I don't believe in a God?

That's the problem with narrow minded bigots like you. You apply your own small minded thought processes to others.

The Internet "social media" companies have done very well on triggering
human addictive/narcissistic behaviours to use their wares.

With the end result that these "useful idiots" have provided a glorious data
mine for said companies to do all manner of data analytics for their own
commercial gain (they know more about you than you can possibly imagine) .

A kindred one : being a racist does not imply you are a race hater.

    Yup its bloody awful.

We are such a target for sale companies that its actually very alarming.

The powers that be and businesses know far too much about us.

Seeing as religion has been mentioned...

I've spent a lot of time recently revising the history syllabus with my son. We focused on England in 1150-1650. What was the main cause of strife and conflict in every era? Muthafuckin religion.

I am currently involved in an experimental war of attrition with linkedin. :)

They used to send me weekly emails with info on the activities of my connections,
recommended jobs etc that I could click on the embedded links and have a look.
Now all these links (attempt to) force you to login to your account to read them.

Similarly they spam me with 'You may know people than you think' emails, which is
basically an appeal to get access to my mailbox in order to do data mining
on the email addrs + names therein to increase/improve their user connectivity networks.

It was money and power, same as it always is. It’s just that at that time in history, the church had the money and the power.
