I wouldn't knock any team for being mid table (fyi we haven't been since the mid 80's) but to try and hide the fact that if it wasn't for the obscene amounts of cash artificially pumped into your club, you wouldn't still be in mid table, is disingenous to say the least.

As for 'brilliant business' - How can making a £197m loss be considered to be anything but the contrary?

To be fair you can't knock the investment opportunity - take over a stadium built for athletics at taxpayers expense, even get the City council to pay for it to be converted into a football stadium and agree rent worth around 2-3% of what the club spends on transfers a year and about 1-2% of what the club spends on wages.
Cracking invenstment for me - only mugs are the taxpayers and city council.
Given that money holds no value for the owners perhaps they'd like to donate the £150m spent on the stadium back to government/city council ?

Marbella Blue you are so deluded its ridiculous, imagine what level walcott would be at had he stayed at southampton, he wouldn't even be in the premier league and the reason arsenal bring players in at a young age is so they can help bring them through and give them experience at the top level. They see potential in a player but they can also see other areas of his game that can be worked on so they help him improve. What city are doing is basically just cheating their way to the title, you can't bring through your own players players so you go and steal the top players from other clubs. Thats why i have loved watching barca dominate real in recent years and i absolutely despise chelsea for the way in which they did go about spending abramovich's money and i also hope that liverpool get no-where this season, they go and spend ridiculous amounts on mediocre players, what is wrong with football??? You are now punished for trying to keep a club financially stable how does that make any sense.

The thing that sums Citeh up is that they can't sell out their 47,000 seater council house.I was susprised by the number of empty seats on Sunday

Bit cruel on Southampton that, perhaps if you were not stealing their players they may be in the PL. Cannot see how you think we steal players, think we pay over the odds for them myself. You sound a very bitter person bet you would like to back to the days when it was just you and the scum at the top, tough ****!
