On the team spirit, ETH has to take all credit for that. He has managed to navigate the most difficult part of his job in nullifying the egos. His handling of the biggest of them in the form of Ronaldo has been firm and very professional which reduced the likelihood of tuning it into a soap opera even as the media tried.

Even Ronaldo’s attitude when he’s on the pitch should be admired. I saw him having a productive word with Rashford yesterday. The respect is still there. I believe that he can still play key part on the attack given we currently do not have anyone that is a natural in that position. He missed some great chances on Thursday that would have got him a number goals, but he kept going and took his eventual goal very well. If the midfield performs better, he will score goals.

I would imagine that the next thing to adjust will be the production in midfield which was pitchy yesterday. I’d like to see Garnacho on the left and Antony on the right for a few games.
