It is silly to look at the table and say that we should walk the match. It doesn’t work like that. I’m old enough to spot a banana skin and this is as big as they get. Of course the players and the manager need to avoid the complacency and I could spot it from a mile. Once the media shower you with praise after the huge criticism you know you have to be 100% on your guard. Build you up to chop you down, and the players and coaching staff should be more savvy.

 

Well they've got 45 minutes to decide whether they want to be in a title race.

Or, as I said long before kick off, go back to continually sucking City and Liverpool dick in press conferences and accepting third place.

The line up, the way we're playing is nowt to do with the media.

Other than Rashford and Bruno on that pitch there isn't anyone willing to take on or get beyond that defence. It's just pedestrian from everyone else.

As soon as they come up against an oppo player it's sideways and back passes.

Even the corner we had, it came in and I think it was Greenwood kicked it back into midfield

Of course the way we play and the complacency have nothing to do with media . But you could see it coming . All the buildup and all the praise. I’ve said here that we are still improving and we need to be careful not to assume we are better than we are. We are clearly not the finished article.

Is Shaw on the bench because we really need him on the pitch, Telles is not good enough going forward and average at defending. Time for Cavani too because we are not good enough to just walk through a tight defence, get some movement up front and some crosses in.

 

Nobody is saying we should score a hat ful. Nobody is saying we should walk the match.

But we should be dominating this game considering where we are and where they are.

We should at least be creating chances? At least having a shot on goal? Maybe troubled their keeper just once?

If that equates to walking the match then fcking hell, we might as well pack up and go home now.
