Looking forward to this one, another match against an actual fellow contender for the holy grail of top four glory.

A cutting edge was lacking on Sunday, which can be immediatley remedied by bringing Eriksen in for Fred.

Hopewfully Eriksen fit, otherwise Scott McTom would be a better bet than Fred alongside Casemiro.

    Sancho makes way for Rashford, the side would be this for me;

    ___________________________________de Gea

    ____Dalot__________________Varane____________Martinez________________Shaw

    ___________________Eriksen____________________________Casemiro

    Antony_________________________________ Fernandes_____________________________Rashford

    ___________________________________Ronaldo

We need an actual centre forward. Should have signed Toney in summer and we should definitely sign him in January.

Eriksen not fit I think. The one player you want going up against his old club.

Apparently Ten Hag is interested in the CF at Inter.

    Hmmmmm.

Working on the hope that Fred might pass to his teammates tonight.

Bruno needs to have a good game tbh.

He's been poor and it's cost us goals.

Wish we'd have show this much intent Sunday ffs!

    This is very good.

We just need that focal point attacking the central area, Rashford not doing it, he's inclined to drift wide.

    Fred playing well too.

    Excellent first half from us.

If Antony had a right foot we'd be storming this game.

Best performance under ETH. Dominated Spurs from start to finish. The greatest number of shots and possession and chances in the season. If the team performs like this for the rest of the season we’ll be fine.

    Yes, great performance.

Lloris kept it to single figures, was a two nil hammering.

Not even going to mention the petulant **** who left before the end, he clearly wasn't needed.

Remember Spurs have been unbeaten away for 5-6 matches. And they are only behind Arsenal and City in terms of points. ETH got the tactics right. But more importantly the players were up for it and had the confidence to play their game. Well done.

    Yes he did.

I still think he slowed our attack down in the 2nd half when forward balls were on for a break and he chose to make the pass out wide.

But at 2-0 up I'll put that down to good game management.

This match was supposed to show the world what we’ve missed in not appointing Conte as manager. Oh well… <laugh> :)

Looking at it objectively they looked like a poor Mourinho side.

And I don't buy they are rubbish. WE made them look bad tonight. In every department except the bloke in goal.

This is really becoming! When people say that someone is a great professional, you really have to ask under what circumstance are they a great professional? When they have their way, or when they don’t have their way? Clearly, the team comes second in this picture as it is all about self first.

Offload for free in January to save on the wages and spend the money on an up and coming talent like Toney. That will be a great statement signing in my opinion.

A bit of both. Conte coming to OT to “steal” a win or draw on a counterattacking strategy was more than matched by ETH’s possession based attacking strategy. Utd didn’t give their front two a sniff. So credit to the midfield and the CBs for muzzling the usually prolific Kane and Son.

They are not rubbish and they will get many wins against other middling teams. Big teams attacking them will beat them unless they change their sit back and counter tactics.

The next test for us is Chelsea and Potter. They're a more balanced side. I hear Kante is injured so the midfield battle can be won again. Question is, do we start with Fred and Casemiro again or start Erikssen if he's fit?

Casemiro btw, has just got better and better with every game. He didn't get the recognition last night but he was brilliant. We've finally got a midfield general again.

We're a point behind Chelsea as they drew 0-0 against Brentford last night. Would we be happy with a draw or is it a must win and leap frog them into 4th spot.

Yep. Chelsea is another big test. I believe we should stick with the same strategy as last night. Of course this will be an away game and Chelsea will be encouraged by the home crowd to attack. But why change completely a winning strategy? In Casemiro we have more than enough to disrupt their midfield. And If Fernandes and Antony keep their form we should more than match them. Slight disappointment in Rashford’s performance. He was full of running and had several clear shots on goal but he needs a better finish. Same with Sancho. He presented a threat but he needs to be braver and take on the full back. Many times he took the easier route of passing back to Shaw (who btw with Dalot also had a good game). I hope I’m not jinxing it but with Varane and Martinez we are getting that defensive partnership we’ve been looking for years.

This may seem over optimistic looking at our away record but for me no reason why we can’t get a hard earned win there.
