Yeah I read somewhere that your 3 shots were the lowest in a league game for 10 years <yikes> crazy that we lost really... RVP loves scoring against us though, I remember his hattrick against us at st marys in our 1st season back.

Very true, we were well organised under Poch last year, but Koeman has just taken us to a whole new level in that respect.

I know he's been injured a lot, but what is all your feelings about Shaw? Anyone who didn't know before probably realises now that comparisons to Bale were stupid as Shaw is first and foremost a very good defender and although he gets forward a lot his final ball can be poor sometimes, which is why he got only 1 assist in 2 years with us. Has his delivery improved at all from what you've seen?

If he is as good as Evra then we've got a very good LB for years!!

Think Shaws got a hell of a lot of potential needs to have a good run of games tho

Shaw looks clueless when he gets into an attacking position. Easier to teach that aspect of the game than defending.

Teaching attacking is harder than defending. Thats why so many wingers end up as full backs

Bollocks. You can make mistakes attacking and they don't really matter, the same isn't true of defending

To be a good attacker you cant continually give the ball away so of course it matters. What is easier to coach? Going past players with skill and accurate shooting or sticking your boot in to win the ball?

Never can tell with LvG, could be playing Jones as rightback but i doubt it.

    Jones, Smalling, Blind
Valencia and Shaw as wingbacks i would think.

Blind in midfield and val as rb? That would make more sense to me. Di maria ahead of rooney also.

Yeah I would expect Rooney in the centre with Di Maria playing closer to RVP.

Blind and Carrick in mid cuts back on creativity and width. Rooney and di Maria will probably drift.
