As Chief says we gifted both goals. And I mean Fred. And Shaw tbh for the 1st was poor showing him inside.

That shows our lack of quality which we can't get away from. A better midfield and we could've got 3 points. City were looking over their shoulder for the first 50 mins. Nervous as fck.

Pogba is not good enough to play for himself, but that's all he'll ever do.

But to blame him today is a cop out imo. He needed a decent CM alongside and all he had was a liability next to him and an inexperienced player.

for me midfield is our biggest problem, the defence is poor but functional if we had a great 3 in front of them, the attack could be really good with same 3 behind/ joining them.

The sad thing is Ole doesn't feel the same.

Even with the subs he brings on Lukaku and Sanchez and leaves Mata on the bench. I knew that was any last chance of scoring gone.

Chasing a goal in 10 minutes, the game had gone. I know what you are getting at though and as you said before Mata would have made a huge difference in place of Fred or Andreas for the first hour (legs go after that).
I text my son during the game and said Fred is too rushed trying to impress and Pogba is too casual thinking he is good. Pogba won't change but I think Fred can improve a lot if he feels settled in a second season.

I hope you're right. Personally I feel some players can't handle the atmosphere/pressure of playing at a big club and he seems to be one.

The one thing that irritates me most about him is that he doesn't know where he's going to pass until he receives the ball and has a think. Just not what you expect from a £50m player on £120k a week.

And then fcks up the pass anyway <laugh>

    I disagree .
World class players can carry their team through .
He is light years away from Messi and Ronaldo .

He's nowhere near Messi or Ronaldo <laugh>

And that's exactly why I said he's not good enough to play for himself. You have to be good enough to pull that off... look at Ronaldo. I'm not disagreeing with you here.

Ability isn't what potentially separates him from Messi or Ronaldo, it's attitude. He can fck off out of United tomorrow for all I care.

But today he was up against a team with every player arguably better than ours man for man. No midfielder can pull that off on his own unless he is Messi. And there's only one of him.

    I'd take the £100 million like a shot .
He's got the ability there's no doubt but the attitude is lacking

He was a very good player for Shakhtar and look a real star, yes know it's a different standard of league but I still think he showed enough to make it here.
I said the same about Depay when he was with us, they try too hard to impress instead of playing their normal game, they difference was Depay let his head drop and hid (no guts, shame really), Fred just keeps on trying but needs to calm down.

Maybe if he changed his name to Fredinho? Seems to be all the rage and often does the trick.

He's a shallow ****. He doesn't appreciate the talent he's got. Whatever can be said about Ronaldo, he grafts and works tirelessly, even now at this age. Has ambition, pride, the desire to succeed and be the best. Pogba isn't fit to lace his boots and never will be. He'll be another Adriano or something, won't even make the best France 11 of all time. Fcking goldfish.

As you may gather, I don't think much of him <laugh>

Of course he is, the players you have mentioned are a very rare breed (and as much as I hate to say it Suarez is a similar type), Pogba and his like (Balotelli maybe) want to be the showman, the big name, the star. Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez want to be the best and force themselves every day to be just that.

That said, you are still comparing totally different types of player regardless of how good they are.
