Burnley had 10 attempts on goal in that first half, compared to United's 3 attempts.

BTW that will be blamed on our defence but that is far from the truth. We cannot play the ball out of our own half and it's just waves of attack from Burnley who are ruling that midfield.

Hopefully Herrera will add a bit of creativity but I would love Mata to come on for Falcao or RVP. Then we will control the midfield and actually string some passes going forward.

Herrera is pure quality btw. Made a big difference when he came on. I hope him, Mata and Blind start next game.

Januzaj I think needs to be dropped. Falcao definitely needs to go.

Poor performance but clear lesson from the match:

Di Maria HAS to play in the wings.

Rooney is wasted at the back of midfield so has to play up front.

Blind at defensive midfield.

The rest: any one of three to partner Rooney. Any of Valencia, young, Januzaj to play opposite side to di Maria. Any permutation of 4 available defenders.

Why not just our best players to their strengths and play others to support them? It may sound too simple to our manager but I wish he would just try it.
