Keane is a failed manager that nobody takes seriously. He's a buffoon. It is the safe option to back Man United because they are the champions. However an intelligent person would see that there will be no outstanding team this season. The title can be won by one of five clubs and they are Man United,Chelsea,Man City Arsenal and Liverpool. All of them have glaring flaws. Man United have blooded a new keeper and their central midfield is more open than Jordans legs. Chelseas squad is over the hill, and they still don't know how to accomodate Cashinhando. Man City have a squad who individually have bigger egos than Jose Mourinho. Arsenal have no balls. Liverpool are in the middle of a renaissance and its only phase one.
Yeah because Roy Keane has always been extra careful not to say anything that might upset SAF hasn't he ?
He did it as a player, but now he's sucking up. A lot of the ex players that at one stage couldn't stand him now suck up to him. Golden Brains, Strachan, Kanchelskis,Whiteside,Ince, now all suck up to him. There is only one that has refused to do so, and still hates his guts and thats Paul McGrath.
I'm quite impressed that "Roy Keane makes angry rant, dismisses other teams" is getting so much attention on the Liverpool board. Particularly when he's said nothing Alan Hansen didn't say after the CS on Sunday.
Alan Hansen may have said something along the lines of 'Whoever finishes above Manchester United will be champions''. Thats fair enough as they are the bench-mark for this season as they are the defending champions as Chelsea were in August 2010. Only a complete and utter imbecile would suggest thar Alan Hansen would diss every team except Manchester United. As far as I'm concerned, there will not be an outstanding team in the 2011/2012 premiership. One of five teams can win it. Man United. Chelsea. Arsenal. Man City. Liverpool. However each one of them has flaws. Man United have just blooded a keeper and their central midfield is more open than Jordans legs on a saturday. Chelsea have an ageing squad. Arsenal haven't grown a pair. Man City have a collective ego that is bigger than Jose Mourinhos and they still haven't appointed a good manager. Liverpool are a work in progress.
Read it and weep KPR: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14443950.stm 'Utd are huge favourites.' 'Ferguson is the master' 'There is always expectation at Anfield because all the Liverpool supporters think they are going to win the league. Now, that's not going to happen this season'
Don't you ever get tired of repeating yourself over and over again ? I think people understood what you was saying in post 21 but then you repeat it again in post 27 ?
Firstly Whiteside Have a read again what Alan Hansen said,He did NOT dismiss the others like the nutty Corkman did, he gave his opinion. He's pointed out that he feels Man United will win the league. Theres nothing wrong with that. As for Keane, he just spouted biased drivel. Secondly. King Eric. I had to repeat myself, because you lot won't admit your side and overall squad has flaws. You lot are almost as clueless as your manager. He's neither identified or fixed those flaws. If he did, Man United would now have a central midfield, they still don't have a central midfield. I also pointed out the flaws the other sides that have a chance of the title have.
They can say all they want, it should be incentive, just like it was incentive for United last year when people were questioning their squad ( even Rooney) and they went on to a champs league final and 19th title. If at the end of the day, we are in the top 4 and hopefully have a cup, I will send a message to Roy saying, "Thanks for that!".
Why is it Man United fans won't admit their side has flaws. Stevie Wonder can see their side has flaws. Their midfield is porous and they will get dominated by any side that attempts to rough them up. As for David the Gay, he wouldn't fill me with a lot of confidence.
Who gives a toss what any of the pundits, ex-players or managers say? There's a whole season in which to prove if any team is capable of winning the title. United - may or may not win the title Liverpool - may or may not win the title Cheslea - may or may not win the title Arsenal - may or may not win the title City - may or may not win the title The only certainty is that somebody will and the others won't.
Complaining about predictions makes as much sense as my High School government teacher, who once stated and I quote, " Half go to this side of the room, half go to the other side, half of you come with me." Let it be incentive to prove them wrong, end of.
