Has Lee Ryder said anything about Tiote back in training today?

If Tiote plays I'll be 10000000x more confident of coming away with a point or three. We really need him to shield the back four and break up their attacks. And it'll also let Cabaye be more influential in attack, which is equally important.

This isn't a bad shout, didn't he fill in at CB for SAF when Man U had an injury crisis a few years ago. My only worry would be him diving in and giving away penaties/getting red card. Prefer it to Simpson playing CB. Personally I'd play Kadar but Pardew doesn't seem to rate him.

I wouldnt have Tiote as a CB, i just dont think it would work. However if fit i would still have him in the side. Probably have him sitting in front of the back four for added protection

    -----------------------Krul---------------------
    Simson-----Santon-----Perch-----Raylor
    -----------------------Tiote--------------------
    Ober-----Cabaye--------Guthrie---Jonas
    ------------------------Ba----------------------

Leaves us a bit short up front so may be hoofball time while we see how the defence copes. If comfortable enough we can bring on Ben Arfafor Obertan or Guthrie to start forcing the game to switch between an attacking 4-4-2 and defensive 4-5-1 when needed.

We have to hope the boy Tiote is fit, is there any news if he was on the training pitch this morning?

    Krul
    Santon Simpson Perch Raylor
    Tiote
    Guthrie Cabaye
    BenArfa ----------- Jonas
    Ba

Defence looks shocking, but with Tiote and Cabaye they should hopefully cover.
Jonas, Ben Arfa & Ba will make a mockery of their defence. <ok>

    From our friend Wikipedia :
Davide Santon (born 2 January 1991 in Portomaggiore, Ferrara) is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Newcastle United, and for the Italian national team. He started his career as an right sided attacker later reverting to an attacking full back who can play on both sides and is known for his energetic runs down the flank.
