Partisanship support has missed the point. It is football players and their employers who think they can do what they like, and not just the ones in the prem. Seems most professional soccer players believe they are akin to a filmstar/billionaire. They are exempt from they most basic laws. Apparently when arrested (as yet not guilty) they can retain their passports and leave the country! Thousands of delicate (until they throw their weight around and they often do) hothouse flowers living right here in our northerly clime. I have a few bearsonal stories I could tell about outrageous behaviour of this exalted class, but can not for fear of unfair legal actions which may result. Suffice to say I have witnessed some appalling stuff from our lauded betters on more then one occasion. I can say the incidents involved public sex, drugs and general gang thuggery. Me, I'm a football fan, not a football player fan. The only name ever on my replica shirts has been my own and same with the number (14 my squad number).
