I dont blame his celebrations at all. Uruguay is a very small country. Im pleased for him but gutted for us

 

You dont think it a tad odd that he was bawling on the bench for a group game, for a win that doesnt even guarantee their qualification?
I thought it a bit over the top aswell.

I have no grievances about him rubbing a countries nose in it who absolutely hate the guy at all, if thats what he was doing

 

It was a big game but it was not the kind of game I'd expect players to be hugging and crying on the side lines. It was a group game that doesn't even guarantee qualification.

I thought it was over the top at the time and now realise with his post match comments why he was probably acting like that.

But I don't like the guy so that's probably clouding my judgement...

Not really. He is a brilliant player but I just can't stand the guy. Didn't particularly like Fabregas or Mark Hughes before they signed for us but you support them once they put on the shirt and reluctantly I'd have to do the same if we signed Suarez. Rather we didn't though (save for the fun to be had winding your mob up obviously!!)

Agree, especially when they had just bottled the league and were low on confidence.

No wonder it is our worst ever performance in a World Cup. Pick a team of losers and they will lose

 

2010 was much, much worse. I dont care if we made it out of the group, we were dire in 2010.

 

How can he think he has rubbed our noses in it? Italy did the damage in the first game and Costa Rica may beat us yet, at the same time he may/will probably be flying home on the same plane as his club team mates. Hed has scored against another national team for his country just like many, many others have done so far in these finals. no need to get all emotional and cry.

 

Not right type for Barca and not good enough to displace any Madrid players (where would he play at Madrid?).
