I tEll you who was unfit....Huddlestone. He pissed me off with his lazy arse effort to block the goal...poor defending infact absolutely **** and amateaurish. I think a few of us need to let AVB get on with his job because he was right in trying to get rid of him due to his ohh so slow movement....but no some were up in arms because it's 'the Hudd'! He really riled me with his little ****in cameo...sending off or not the guy wasn't at the races so stop demanding respect...fuking primadonna....play your game with the same zest you grow your hair pal
It's hardly surprising that he's all over the place though, Dona. Didn't play for most of the pre-season, with Jenas preferred to him throughout who was then also left out, then we attempted to ship him out all over the place, which didn't go through. Given the options that we've got available in that position, we need to get him back up to speed as soon as possible. EDIT: Just read that he might go out on loan to a Russian or Turkish side.
I agree PNP with the fact that he has not played...so why were so many up in arms because he was being offered on loan to various teams? Quite simply because it was another stick to beat AVB with.
Hudd is a better player than Jenas and Livermore. His treatment along with Dawson has been atrocious in my opinion for two players who have been at the club for a good few years (Daws especially) and always put in good performances. He's been left out the past 2 squads and wasn't given enough time in pre-season to build his fitness, can't say I blame him for looking lazy and unfit - he probably was.
Then get him out on loan...like AVB was wanting....but that idea was met with Chelsea tinted tirades aimed at AVB and his man management.
How does loaning him out help, though? He'll get match fit at another club and then stay at that club for the rest of the season, whilst we struggle to find enough players in his position. We can't replace him now, bar signing some out of contract crock like Hitzlsperger or someone inappropriate like Reo-Coker, so why let him go?
BeCause he would get first team action elsewhere or them respective teams would not be interested in wasting their money..at Spurs he is not a starter anymore....so if he wants that respect he banged on about he would have the platform to do it elsewhere...I'm sorry but for me he's pissed me off with his 'earn respect' bollocks yet he plays like that....no wonder he was told to get some reserve games in but his ego got the better of him. Plus we could have a recall agreement. You see I respect Brendan Rodgers for believing in his system.... He shipped out a 35 mill signing ...that takes balls..for me he did right because he wants to start implementing his philosophy...if he isn't given that platform then he won't be there for long and likewise for AVB
It might work out ok for Huddlestone, as he'll get game time and get his sharpness back, but that won't help us. No club that's looking to use him as a starter will agree to a recall agreement, so he goes and we don't get a replacement. We have very limited options in his role, so it would significantly weaken us and in no way benefit the side. Rodgers totally screwed himself by loaning out Carroll, too. Was he any less suited to the system that they're trying to introduce than someone like Danny Graham? I don't think so. He let him go for financial reasons, as he wanted to bring someone else in and that collapsed, so he ended up with nobody.
Huddlestone was not told to get some reserve games in. Don't believe everything you read on gossip sites.
Yeah don't I know it!! Enough to show me a ballet dancing pose instead of getting his frame between the ball and goal for their equaliser. Therefore get in the reserves like AVB suggested and get your fitness up, instead of philosophising on Twitter about 'earning respect'... He must be relaxing with his Chelsea chums too much.
Hudd has looked incredibly rusty coming back from injury before. Not just stamina wise but pace wise (which isn't great anyway) and even his passing is sloppy after a lay off. Lennon also has the same problem. Any sort of lay-off and it takes him WEEKS to get back to anywhere near top form. Those 2 room together don't they? Maybe they're up to something....
Us mere mortals dont have much else to go on...still there is no denying his twitter rant. Like he said you got to earn the respect.
Huddlestone has claimed that the respect comment on Twitter had nothing to do with football. Whether that's true or not is debatable.
It Is always the case PNP.... If it wasn't aimed at AVB then it's bad timing.....we don't get to see much 100% factual... My gut says he probably did...my point being I blame him for their goal..so he needs to get on with it and people should want what is best for the team instead of having a love in with individual players.
Why don't you have a go at Livermore for giving away the daft free kick needlessly in an immature kick off the ball ??
Blaming him for the goal is too easy, Dona. Livermore gave away the stupid free-kick which put us in that position in the first place, so should we blame him, too? If Villas-Boas doesn't want him at the club, that's fine. We should've got rid of him when we could or at least brought in someone, anyone, that can do his job, though. Raul Mereiles is having a medical at Fenerbahce in advance of an £8m move, for example. Worked with the manager at Porto and Chelsea and while not up there with Modric, he'd be a better option than an unfit player that the manager doesn't rate or nobody at all, which is where we stand now. I'm assuming that Dembele will get a run out in that position in the future, which might work out for the best, but if he's not suited to that role, then where do we go?
