Yeah not good. I can understand the two rugby team wanting each other to fail but for the rugby fans to want the football team to fail and vice versa is a bit sad. As a Leeds fan, I also follow the Rhinos (always have and always will regardless of success on both counts by the way), but I don't think there's a hatred between the two. Not from what I've seen anyway but to me I'm happy to see my city represented by teams or individuals who are successful in any sport.
Perhaps it would be less deep seated and heal faster if clearly intelligent posters didn't work so dammed hard, week after week, to give it a prominence it simply doesn't merit?
Really? Do you have a link? It's not that long ago they lumped it with table tennis. Have they lost some sports that moves rl up?
Just to bump the question and get some clarification, as I know you have some inside track, also, I think I'm right in saying that the numbers are only a part of the issue, as the viewing demographic means adverts can be better targeted, so some lesser watched programmes cost more for advertisers, as they can attract a higher value product. Do you think that applies to Rugby League? http://corporate.sky.com The most televised sports in 2013 on Sky Sports: Football - 8,462 hours Golf - 5,072 hours Cricket - 4,711 hours F1® & Motorsport - 4,098 hours Rugby union - 2,055 hours Tennis - 1,348 hours Rugby League - 1,145 hours Boxing - 1,040 hours http://www.totalrl.com/ March 12, 2014, 2:36 pm Last Friday’s Sky Sports broadcast of the Super League clash between Huddersfield and Leeds registered a new high for TV viewing figures on Sky for the 2014 season.
