Would have gone top of their group in the cup round robin with a win. I see Dan Batty was back after his months loan to Halifax, but they are still a bit depleted with others out on loan. Curry would be a big miss at the back even though Hamilton played after his inclusion on the bench Saturday for the first team.
Yeah I get that Lambo, but it's a strange coincidence that when a first team squad are struggling then the apathy begins to seep through into the younger age groups. In this instance I doubt that the primary motive of sending the youngsters out on loan is for them to gain first team experience, it's highly likely that it's more to do with their loan clubs paying either all or some of their wages. #allamout
I would say it is certainly trying to get them first team experience as the teams they are going to are hardly in a position to pay a lot of wages. I can see Dan Batty/Clackstone & Curry being in the first team squad if not this season but next.
I can't imagine Batty, Mannion etc. are on significant wages to the point we'd want to get them out of the club for a month to cut costs.
They're definitely going out to gain experience, rather than to get them off the wage bill, they're mainly at non-pro clubs.
Interesting that we've got a trialist playing up front, Deon Moore is a striker, formerly of Peterborough.
That is interesting, must have some connection with Peterborough as I think Jonny Edwards came from there. They have to get one or two in, as the U23's are looking a bit thin on the ground, and bring U18's through is OK, but there is quite a difference between football at U18 level and U23, so it is quite a big jump.

Charlie has made an excellent impact on the squad and had made some very important stops so far with the Pikes! Well done Charlie!
