We were there last night and the Charlton goalie was hilarious, all he kept shouting virtually all night was 'left shoulder, left shoulder' with the occasional 'right shoulder' thrown in for good measure. Me and the missus were p*ssing ourselves, I don't even think any of his team mates were listening either.

U23's away today at Cardiff, tough place to go, and can they get their first win of the season?

All you need to know ahead of Monday night’s Professional Development League clash away at Cardiff City.

Fixture: Cardiff City U23s v Hull City U23s
    Where: Cardiff City Stadium
    When: Monday 11th September 2017
    Kick-Off: 7pm

Jon Beale’s side make the long trip to Cardiff looking to build on a last week’s 1-1 home draw with Charlton Athletic, which saw them register their first point of the new campaign.

After starting the season with three straight defeats, the Tigers conceded early doors against the Addicks, but Greg Luer’s first half equaliser ensured Jon Beale’s side took a deserved share of the spoils from what was an entertaining match.

Match updates from tonight’s game will be available via Twitter by following @Tigers_Academy, while a match report will be available on both www.hullcitytigers.com and www.hulltigersacademy.com.

How They Fare: Cardiff City U23s
    League Position: 7th (South)
    League Wins: 2
    League Draws: 0
    League Defeats: 2
    League Goals Scored: 5
    League Goals Conceded: 7
    League Form: L L W W

Last Time Out: Huddersfield Town U23s 1 Cardiff City U23s 2
The Bluebirds registered a second successive league win with a 2-1 win away at Huddersfield Town last week.

Jarred Harvey opened the scoring after 12 minutes, heading home a cross from the left before Cardiff doubled their lead on the hour mark through a trialist.

With 22 minutes left of play, the home side pulled a goal back. Substitute George Danaher was the man to score, giving the hosts a lifeline in the closing stages.

However, this proved to be merely a consolation for Frankie Bunn’s side as the Bluebirds defiantly held out for the three points.

Cardiff: Byrne, Trialist, Duffus, Veale (C), Trialist, Young, Davies, Waite, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist.
Subs: Jones, Burwood, Wootton, Proctor, Bowen.

Previous Meeting: Hull City U23s 2 Cardiff City U23s 1
Jarrod Bowen’s first half brace saw the Tigers claim a third league victory of the Professional Development League season with a 2-1 win over Cardiff City on Monday night.

The 19-year-old opened the scoring in the seventh minute, applying the finishing touch to an impressive team move after good play from Johan Ter Horst and Greg Olley left the former Hereford United youngster with a simple finish from inside the six-yard box.

The Tigers - and Bowen - were not waiting too long for a second goal of the evening, which came just past the half way point of the opening 45 minutes. Daniel Batty’s superb free-kick picked out the wide-man in the middle, and he planted an unstoppable header past Luke O'Reilly in the Cardiff goal.

City were in complete control of proceedings at the Eon Visual Media Stadium at half-time, but gifted the visitors a route back into the game seven minutes after the restart. Sloppy play at the back saw the Tigers concede possession midway inside their own half and Luke Humphries made them pay with a crisp finish that gave Will Mannion no chance whatsoever.

The much-improved Bluebirds applied plenty of pressure as they went in search of an equalising goal in order to maintain an impressive start to the new season that had brought four wins in their first four games, but the Tigers held on for the three points to inflict a first defeat of the season on the visitors.

Yes, I think he should be back soon, had a cruciate problem.

He's quality, I think he will turn out to be a useful player.
