Another week where we've shipped and scored a load of goals

**Warning HBIC: contains explicit references to Obika**

Anyone see tickets for this? It was at the Lane but I hadn't heard anything about it until now.

Here's the table

5th out of 7 yet we've scored more than any other side across all the leagues and conceded more than all but Stoke, who are bottom of our league. How you can lose 2 and win 1 and still have a +2 goal difference is baffling to me. Whoever's managing the side needs to have a word with themselves!

I thought we were going to use this to let players get some minutes that aren't getting much game time yet we seem to be picking our Nextgen side. United played Fletcher and Lindegaard against us!

didn't lindegaard play in goal for the 1st team game too? Wtf has happened to De Gea? I have him in my FF team.

I was at the game and in fairness to Obika, he did take his chances very well and on the night he led the line well.

Chris Ramsey was in charge, don't think Sherwood was even there.

I think the next game on the 23rd of this month against Man United will be at the Lane.

Apparently our game with Soton has been rearranged and we play them on the 15th.

So were they doing tickets for the game last night or was it just staff and media?

You must have missed it on the official site YV, as it was advertised there at least twice to my knowledge. Tickets were available to the public in advance and on the night, although only the west stand was open.

I think we're struggling a bit for numbers, as we used players in the Carling Cup and we've got so many injuries in the main squad.
Miles playing instead of Archer, who went out on loan, sounds like it cost us a goal, too.

Yeah, I must've missed it or forgotten, I only read the travel update emails usually. Shame because I'd been catching up on work over the weekend and would've fancied a break from it.

Bentaleb...now there's a name! Already I can see headlines after bad performances...rentapleb!...he'd better play well every game poor lad! <laugh>

He got sent off a couple of weeks ago, but I don't think the club put things like that on the official site.

The U21s beat Southampton today at their Staplewood training ground, with Christian Ceballos scoring a hat-trick in a 4-2 victory.
A good win against a club with an impressive youth system and it's nice to see the young Spaniard making a push for a place.

Just for Croydon, Obika got the other goal... <whistle>

For the benefit of anyone querying the absence of Coulibaly from this team recently, he is injured and the club is resting him in the hope this will avoid surgery.

Another 6 goal game! Still conceding and scoring for fun then...

No holding midfielder and a defence missing a lot of relatively experienced heads, I guess.
Archer and Byrne out on loan, Smith on international duty with the U21s and Ekong missing (loan? sale?).

True it doesn't look balanced on paper. Doesn't Bentaleb usually play in the deeper midfield two though?
