If I wore a red and white shirt, ate prawn sarnies at half time and left 10 minutes before the end if we weren't winning and booed my own team if they weren't top of the league, I guess they would.

Isn't this what all fans do?

I have a mate who's an Oldham fan who left at H/T on Saturday with his team 0-3 down to Peterborough, freezing in the cold after being served a cold(ish) pie. They won 5-4 in injury time and one glorious moment in the sun was missed forever.

Fans of rich PL teams - we don't know we're born.
