Unacceptable loss, even despite a "lack of a goalscorer"

Possibly you're right, but I don't think so. Enjoy your victory, I suppose.

I hate losing to you lot. Today is a bad day.

Pardew had no option but to put the spin machine into motion.
He focussed on the positives which is all well and good but I just hope that privately he will admit the mistakes.
Time, as they say will tell.

A very poor quality game overall and I wasn't surprised we lost.

15 shots with 7 on target was more than the Mackems mustered all game but we need Andy Carroll up front if this system is ever going to work properly.

Has to be said, how the **** did Saylor continue after that sickening crash into the post? Say what you want about him, you can't fault his commitment. I thought Colo was a bit all at sea again yesterday. Had a rough few games at just the wrong time!

Pardew really needs to drop Gouffran. We are effectively playing with 10 men whenever he starts. He won't though as he's the type of player Pardew loves - a workhorse.

We really are starting to miss Obertan and Aarons. We have got away with a couple of games here and there, but Gouf and Sammy just can't produce enough from the wide areas. I'd have started Cabella yesterday instead of Gouf.

Depends on how you look at it, many people myself included thought that Sunderland missed at least two sitters

Sammy Ameobi is dreadful along with Gouffran. Aarons and Obertan are badly missed. The trouble is though, the former looks like he may be injury prone.
