Question for those choosing Beats..surely Lambert was a more rounded (in more ways than one!) version?
Whoops....I meant to go back and select the manager, forgot, so by default I picked Adkins. Not ashamed of that choice because his tenure had a massive effect on this club.....and he's a nice guy However, my problem there as well as in other positions was that I am a relative newbie....only been a Saints fan since early 90s. Even worse for some of our fan base who weren't even born then. Going to be naturally subjective with many good players ignored because you may not have heard of them. Also do we select a player because they are 'best' in that position or because they would work well with the other players you have selected. Too much thinking involved...the old arbitrary system of 'I liked him' will have to do.
Nigel can say that he is our only manager to be promoted in all of the completed seasons he was manager
