Ok I have no doubt that this has probably done before, but as I haven't seen it done since I've been a member I thought I would create one. Basically the rules are that you have to state the first season you became a Gills fan (or not if you are embarrassed about it) and put together the best players you have seen in a Gills shirt since you've been going. As the football league currently has 7 substitues you are allowed up 7 subs if you so wish.

So I became a Gills fan in January 2003 and unfortunately missed out some great Gills players (Yeo, Cascarino, Bruce etc) so this is my ultimate XI from the time I've been a Gills fan.

GK: Simon Royce (Just snuck in above Jason Brown for me. Gazza would be 3rd)
RB: Nyron Nosworthy (Not much choice for me. Barry Fuller would be 2nd)
CB: Chris Hope (Obvious reasons.)
CB: Simon King (For me the best defender I've seen at the club.)
LB: John Hills (Bit controversial but I enjoyed watching him at left back)
RM: Nicky Southall (Right foot better than Beckham ;) Whelpdale with a couple more seasons will get in there)
CM: Andy Hessenthaler (Self explanatory really. Jackman deserves a shout out too)
LM: Matt Jarvis (Quality winger that got us all off our feet when he had the ball)
CAM: Paul Shaw (Showed he was an extra threat for us when we were lacking up top)
ST:Simeon Jackson (Prolific goalscorer for us and happily put him in)
ST:Cody McDonald (Again for his attacking threat)

Subs:
GK: Jason Brown (Just sneaks above Paulo for me)
CB: Barry Ashby (Self explanatory)
LB/CDM: Danny Jackman (beautiful left foot and was top class in his first stint too)
CM/CAM: Andrew Crofts (Had really good spells for us and his commitment until near the end was spot on)
LW/LM: Andy Barcham (His speed and ability to tear up defences deserves a place on the bench)
ST: Mamady Sidibe (Great target man. Scored the equaliser in my first ever match against Leeds in the FA Cup)
ST: Darius Henderson/Darren Byfield (couldn't decide between as they both offered something different. I enjoyed watching both of them though)

Well thats my team, think it could do a decent job in the Championship if were altogether on form, but what are other peoples opinions and teams?

Might leak a few goals with this one lenny?

I was on the lines of creating a team from the best players i have seen, not positions as well, but it do,s show what talent has gone through our books.hoping for another result this afternoon UTG

Allbluelenny.....<ok>

I first went to Gills 0 Reading 2 in 1966. Yes the defence provides the backbone for any team, but it is the forwards that have provided the thrills. No one could leave out Brian Yeo who was / still is Gills ultimate poacher at a time when physical dismemberment was a legitimate tackle!

Yep.....some true heroes there mate.

If I was to go for a side which I have seen then it would be this

Jason Brown

Barry Ashby
Chris Hope
Simon King
Danny Jackman

Nicky Southall
Andrew Crofts
Andy Hessenthaler
Matt Jarvis

Darren Byfield
Simeon Jackson

Subs
Simon Royce
Nyron Nosworthy
Roland Edge
Jack Payne
Paul Smith
Darius Henderson
Cody McDonald

This side may not be the best of all time but I am going by a team which I know, this side is very good on the attacking side and in midfield but I did find it tough to name many defenders mainly the reason why Jackman is at left back however I was a fan of Edge. I think Whelpdale and Lee may be in my side in the future but not at the moment.

I always find this difficult, because my favourite 11 is very different to the best 11 footballers in each position, and like people before I will only pick from players I have seen and my first match was Gillingham V Bolton Tuesday 4th April 1989.

First up the best players

GK. Vince Bartram
RB. Nayron Noseworthy
LB. John Hills
CB. Chris Hope
CB. Guy Butters
RM. Matthew Jarvis
CM. Gavin Peacock
CM. Andrew Crofts
LM. Tommy Johnson
CF. Marlon King
CF. Rod Wallace

Subs

Simeon Jackson
Gary Breen
Brent Sancho
Gary Micklewhite
Dennis Bailey

Manager
Tony Pulis

Then my favourite 11
