How is it we are all getting uptight about a 30 year old who has only scored one goal this season.
11/12 m is totally bonkers, football has gone completely mad. I understand what lads are saying on here and as its the last day of the transfer window tomorrow were backed into a corner (again).
Why are my wonderful club finding themselves in this predicament year on year ( yes I know all about Ellis Short) but I've never seen the like of this in the past 55 years supporting this club, when is this nightmare going to end. If I ever run out if Whisky I dont know how I will ever bear this annual flagellation.

Why are goals the measure of him? He's a very good player who'd help us get the ball out of our own half for more than 30 seconds. He's absolutely everything we need imo. We've got a prolific goalscorer, I'd rather build our bid for survival bid around giving him service rather than getting another goal scorer(which we couldn't afford anyway)just to be starved just like Defoe is.
We need to build a bridge between defence and attack, he ticks the boxes to help do that. Perhaps as a bonus we may not be quite as mind numbingly **** to watch too.
Ulloa said on SSN today that he was told
If a offer of 4-5m came in he could go.
If we end up getting him and paying more than 6 that's fine we just can't waste time on it.
That's madness, they paid 8m for him and he's heading into his prime. Maybe abroad but there's no way they'll sell to a prem club without accounting for the inflation of the league and it being to a rival. Just can't see it.
I understand all that Bri it just doesn't sit well with me that were likely to pay such money for someone whose main job is to hold the ball up so Defoe doesn't get isolated and the defence get a breather.
I'm sure he will chip in with a goal or two but when we got Vic for next to nowt, it seems a lot of money to cover his injury and yes I fully understand if it works and we stay up its peanuts in relative terms.
I whose I'm just frustrated we get ourselves into this situation year on year. Will we ever learn.

He's way better than Big Vic though, way better. Vic is injury prone and very inconsistent, Ulloa would get the nod over him everyday of the week. Vic would be playing back up to him. That type of player would be an integral cog for me, I think it's worth the investment on that type of player. I've been open to him coming every window since we were linked with him when poyet was in charge and Ulloa was at Brighton. I rate him.

He's desperate to leave this window like and clearly wants to come here. Don't blame him but I wouldn't be so public, I'd go through my agent.
This is something that's said every window. Moyes said after the last window that there were players who he had sat in front of him ready to sign which none of the papers had any idea about but they got substantially better offers from elsewhere which SAFC couldn't match. So there will be other players regardless.
My main worry is we have a game tomorrow night which potentially hampers the possibility of signing someone

Start of the month I was thinking that Ulloa would be an excellent signing for us (realistic signing that is) but after his stupid rant I wouldn't go anywhere near him. Someone here has raised that Bent forced a move from Spurs, he then had the same attitude that took him to Villa... I don't want players at the club who mess clubs about (granted that rules out 99% of players these days but it's an absolute joke how people go on now).
Doesn't look like Ulloa deal happening. What worries me is that we aren't linked with any other strikers.
