    Good idea.<ok>

I've still to paint the curbs out the front of my house, but I'm not sure whether to stick with the beige or go for the traditional red, white & blue.

How do you treat the razor wire on the garden fence? Is it better to let it rust with age to give it that "Lived in" look?

Wouldn't touch magnolia, I paint the walls and the woodwork white, looks very smart and makes the paintings stand out sharply.

If you have a collection of oils in the lounge I find it's better to have walls which are a (sort of) British Racing green or light Burgundy to bring out the best of them. My Lounge has an "officer's Club" feel about it, you know the thing, Green leather Chesterfields, open fire with brass fender and a bottle of Pimms on the drinks trolley.

I don't have razor wire. I don't even have a fence out my front.

You don't paint your curbs out the front of your house?

Does your house not look like a hospital if everything is white?

    curb (kûrb)
    n.
    1. A concrete border or row of joined stones forming part of a gutter along the edge of a street.
    2. An enclosing framework, such as that around a skylight.
    3. A raised margin along an edge used to confine or strengthen.
    4. Something that checks or restrains: High interest rates put a curb on spending.
    5. A chain or strap that passes under a horse's lower jaw and serves in conjunction with the bit to restrain the horse.
    6. A market, originally on a street or sidewalk, for trading securities that are not listed on a stock exchange.

I've spoken to the little woman about hiring a manservant but she thinks it beneath us. I suppose I could ask the cook to whip up a Martini but she's usually too busy roasting Swans and spit roasting a Roe deer.

White is too clinical for me, I wasn't sure about magnolia at first but its not what I expected, mix of white & cream - goes well with all colours too.
