What I am getting really fed up with is the number of French, German, Dutch and this morning Belgian nationals coming up and sympathising with coming from a country in total chaos. The people who voted for this have turned the country into a laughing stock, and whatever I might feel I do not enjoy seeing my country sinking so low in the eyes of the world.

UK bashing, volume 25.

What am I supposed to say? Everything is fine, there is a strong and stable government in place, the PM is doing a great job, the people who want to remain are a tiny minority and the opposition has a very clear policy on a future relationship.

It is good remoaners are coming round to accept the will of the people finally.
But the Hard Brexiters that you support, supposedly, did not want that as too many strings attached...

If we have to Brexit, I like many sensible people, would support a soft Brexit, aligning the UK to the EU, but sitting outside, however, I would vote remain again, given the chance as is my democratic right.

Excellent news Boris, if elected as the new PM, will withhold the ransom payment in the event of a no deal. This will help concentrate the minds of the EU bully boys so they can negotiate with respect and fairness. This will also go down very well with the Tory membership who have always hated the thought of the UK being blackmailed.

The latest poll has the UK leaving the EU without a deal as the most popular option, the MPs need to remember their previous promises and fall in line with public opinion.

How can you negotiate with ' respect and fairness' when you continually deride anybody from the EU..??

Dare I express being confounded by BoJos announcement that he will give monies saved by a no deal Brexit to higher tax payers??? What happened to his NHS promises?? Bare faced electioneering.. And revealing of his true nature..?

The government brought forward the bonus of Brexit and is giving more than the £350 million per week new money to the NHS. His proposed relief towards those paying excessive tax is sensible.

I think of
Libraries
Care homes
Sure start family centres
Youth clubs
Rural Post offices
Bus services for the rural poor
Etc etc

Reducing the tax rate on these middle earners can incentivise extra work hours therefore increasing the overall tax take.

It is quite strange how out of step the UK seems to be with so many countries around the world. There was a general election in Denmark recently, one of the more highly taxed countries in Europe. Rather than vote for the ruling parties that had cut back on services, the population returned a government with parties making a promise to restore the things that people rely on even if it costs them more. The far right who wanted to cut back even more had their number of seats halved. In the UK the population were led to believe that they only needed to leave the EU and everything that localities need would be available again. Strangely the day after the referendum the politicians who had made these promises tried to jump back, adding massive caveats to what they had been saying. These same politicians are now competing to run the country, and we know from experience now that you cannot believe a word they are saying.
