You obviously have taken little notice of Tories in the past. The majority of Tory voters are unhappy with May's poor deal. They will use the European elections as a protest against not leaving then will reunite after a new leader is in place. Farage's party is all about Brexit, note it's title. The offering from Labour is so awful the UK public are not stupid enough to allow the Marxists twin anywhere near power.

Yes Scullion but AFTER BREXIT they will make us pay for it.... Queues at limoges airport now take twice as long.. And conversely coming into the UK via ferry can take ages now to clear passport control..No visa, bareley looked at my passport or me, just shown how weak the border controls are in the EU.

The likelihood is that disgruntled Tories will simply stay at home. Opinion polls mean very little when it comes down to the European elections because they do not measure possible turnout. When asked their opinion in a poll most people come out with some sort of answer - but when turnout drops to 40-50% then anything can happen. Even if Farage's Brexit party does well it will make no difference to Brussels, or the make up of the EU Parliament whatsoever because Britain is just one country out of 28 - a few Brexiteers sat in some corner of the EU Parliament is no more irritating than a boil on the nose - but would just be embarassing for the UK. Going over to the bigger picture - I will be out canvassing at the weekend (like the last 3) and the picture in Germany is that the Greens have been the second most popular party in 10 out of the last 10 opinion polls, and, with a low turnout, may turn out to be the biggest German contingent in the new EU Parliament. The Greens are also on the up in Wallonia, Flanders, Brussels, the Netherlands, Finland and Lithuania.
If the UK were a more cooperative country they could save money. Leaving Newhaven last month I presented my passport, recording that I was leaving the country. I then was logged in by French Border Control before boarding the ferry. Arriving in Dieppe I was once again logged in as arriving in France. While still in Newhaven I was asked if I had anything in the boot of my car that I shouldn't have. When I said no, and expected to open my boot to prove it, the guy wasn't interested and waved me through.
This raises two points. The first is that many Border Force staff in the UK are part timers provided by outsourced companies, and to be honest they are not very interested in the job. The second point is that only one border control is needed if the two countries shared the fact that passports had been checked, and the holder was not a wanted person. In the world of shared systems time and money would be saved, so why do we need to waste money when it is not required.

Many disgruntled Tories, like myself, will vote for the Brexit party, I expect turnout to be much higher than normal. Farage and his band of eurosceptics will join other new groups of eurosceptics from many other member states. The European Parliament will look very different after the election.
The Tories are already a minority government, and should Farage try to turn his company into a UKIP Mk II after the EU elections, the outcome would be simple to see. Remember how this whole Brexit disaster started. Cameron was scared of UKIP and thought he could save his party

Liberal, a sort of socialist party,
Conservative, in name only at the moment as they have forgotten what they stand for and how to govern,
Various independents, and the point is?
Brexit, willing to carry out the will of the people
UKIP, not very nice people in that now, but willing to carry out the will of the people.
In the absence of the monster raving loony party, there is only one choice, the brexit party to make it clear to the Conservatives et al that the will of the people should be upheld and that we need to concentrate on governing the UK to be successful post brexit.

The UK thankfully decided not to join the failed Schengen area where terrorists are able to move freely between nations and their base camps outside of Europe. The sooner Brexit has been completed the sooner the UK can control it's borders as the majority of sovereign countries do around the world.
Cameron was well aware that the UK was very keen on a referendum on EU membership. It has already been suggested by senior Tories that the Tories may need to form a coalition with Farage's new party, that would be fun.
As you say the UK has never been signed up to Schengen, so it has always had control of the borders. It is an old fear argument that is total nonsense. If Brexit ever happens, it will have to start spending on beefing up the Border Force instead of trying to get the job done on the cheap.
Glad to say it is behind a paywall. What little I did see he was described as disruptive. Sounds about right.
How many times has this disruptive politicians been rejected by the voters at a GE. Seven I think.
Thankfully being a sovereign nation will allow us to properly control our borders without any of the usual interference from Brussels. Hopefully they will quickly beef up the Border Force to enable them to throw out the Romanian pickpockets and drug dealers amongst others.
The conclusion was he should have been invited to join the cabinet by May, he is probably the most popular politician in the UK at the moment.
