There was an interview with the head of Sandpiper CI in the local paper earlier this week. He thinks that our food supplies will be affected as most of it comes through Portsmouth, and he thinks that firms will start looking at other ports if the route to Dover does basically become a lorry park. They are the business that will be most affected as they hold most of the Jersey (and probably Guernsey) franchises of the stores you see in a large number of UK towns and cities. Unfortunately, there is nothing like a Mergers and Monopolies Commission here, so it looks like all our eggs (almost literally) are in one basket.

I had removed the offensive post as soon as I saw it, and told SH that there was no place for such comments on here. I stand up for free speech, but that does rely on people choosing their words with care.

That is the model for 2019. The passport model for 2020 is dark blue. Subsequent models are:
2021: United Kingdom of Great Britain
2022: United Kingdom of England and Wales
2023: England
2024: England (without London)
In the meantime all our passports are made in France and the Latin inscription has been replaced with 'I fart in your general direction'.

I have not received any message from you but accept a slap on the wrist. Can you please request the 'victim' stops his personal abuse and goading, probably too much to ask of you to effectively deal with a fellow clique member.

You really are living in some strange bubble of your own SH. Just look at what you have written. You are attempting to goad me, but I do not bite on such things. I was explaining last night to someone why I do not believe in banning people from the forum except in exceptional circumstances. I certainly would not have you banned for having a go at me, but will request it if I see you being offensive to others. You sail very close to the wind sometimes, and I have warned you. Be very careful about what you write.

Sometimes each of have to accept we got it wrong and others are correct.
How anyone can claim the high ground in this Brexit debacle is beyond me.

Your constant goading is clearly designed to provoke a reaction so master clique can act. May I suggest you are a suitable case for treatment. How about some counselling?

I'm not sure that this can be likened to World War 2 Yorkie - we were all together then, and there was no sense of national humiliation about the whole thing.

Your first sentence (or rather up to the master clique nonsense) just about describes your relationship to this forum - ie. constant goading until you provoke a reaction, and you certainly reinforce that with what follows. Fortunately I take your goading about as seriously as I would the buzzing of an unwanted fly but Yorkie appears more sensitive on this.
