I would certainly recognised you instantly in a pub by your kaftan and beads.![]()
Bring your tambourine, I'll bring my triangle, Cologne can bring his Zither and OFH can bring his accordion. We can make sweet music as long as you are buying the beers.

The express, eh? That bastion of unbiased journalism. And did we hear Merkel say it? No. We heard someone saying she said it.
The Mail said Barnier might say that any deal will be set in stone and we won't be able to change it.The express, eh? That bastion of unbiased journalism. And did we hear Merkel say it? No. We heard someone saying she said it.
Well that's brilliant!
We are applying to join the Dodecanese as I typeWhen we are not part of the EU anymore. Wouldn't it be better if we could row the Island into better climates and closer to me, flights home are not cheao!

I had to look it up, good climate, still too far!!We are applying to join the Dodecanese as I type![]()

Funny really - if a no deal hurts the EU worse than us why do they say EU is seemingly intent on it?
Anyway, I hear something very different. EU will give us a deal but Parliament may vote it down. If that does happen Labour MPs should hang their heads in shame. There will be lots of opportunities to topple the Government - caring, compassionate MPs shouldn't be taking this one.
Actually we do have a Zither SH. Pure chance on your part because this instrument has little to do with either Cologne or Germany. 2 generations distant a half of Mrs Cologne's family originated from the Tyrol - where they were Zither makers. Upon moving to Cologne they opened a shop making and repairing violins, and other stringed instruments - so there is still a Zither in the family, albeit over a hundred years old. Cologne is closer to Watford then it is to MittenwaldThey were also made in Mittenwald Bavaria.
Bavarians are only Austrians without brains. My God you really are getting desparate for material SH. The only things I have to say to weeping Gordon are a) Learn Dutch and get integrated there and b) get any sort of job which would build up his entitlement to social security money there (which is the highest in the EU.) If he just expects the Dutch state to subsidize his frequenting of the coffee bars of Amsterdam then he can think again - and there are many Brits hanging around Amsterdam expecting just this.

I lived in Haarlem for 18 months which is about 30km. away. Unfortunately the liberal attitudes prevailing in Amsterdam combined with the highest social security benefits in the whole EU act as a magnet to certain types of Englishman - he may well be one of them, and Farage, being so desparate to find anything detremental to say about the EU. has probably fallen for it hook line and sinker with respect to our crying Gordon. You seem to have an intimate knowledge of parts of Amsterdam..............![]()

Where do you come up with the idea that there are more food banks in Germany ? Do you have any figures to support this ?What about the hundreds of other crying expats,
I can now understand why there is more use of food banks in Germany and France than the UK.
