Tobes I think both toffees and 'orns are glad to see that. In Richarlison I saw a frustrated, talented, young, entertaining, explosive force that needs to be nurtured. I'm over the moon for him and hope he gets the help to develop that he needs. As for Watford we are not complaining after 5 straight wins and money in the bank. So everyone is happy
.As for the dispute I think most agree that the sooner it is resolved the better. Then we can get back to fottie.

Yeah he may well do - but we weren't going to get more for him at this stage of his development and if we had kept him for a season he may have had a serious injury or gone even further off the boil and been worth very little. So far it's working well for both of us - and I'll be happy if that continues with the exception of two games this season!.
From what I’ve seen of him in the flesh so far he looks a real talent and it’s obvious from his words that he sees Silva as a massive influence on his career, which might explain his drop off after he left Watford, and his new found confidence at Goodison. You made us pay what looked to be over the odds, the player got his move and Silva got the player he wanted for us. So, it’s probably worked out well for all concerned. Not often that happens tbf.
Macron's centrist party is now only level with Le Pen's far right party in the latest poll for next years European Parliament elections. Macron's popularity has been falling as fast as hers has been rising. It is now expected that the far right party will become the largest French political party in the European Parliament, reminiscent of UKIP's previous surge in the UK.

Not at all, I'm a signed up Conservative. Unlike many EU countries the UK equivalent far right, i.e. the BNP, is very weak in the UK. We don't do political extremes in the UK.
I'm not sure the rise of the far right, within limits, is in itself always a negative providing the reaction to their rise is swiftly implemented. Certainly, it would be better if the rise was anticipated and the reaction took place earlier. A rise in any extremism I think invariable comes from a weakness in the democratic processes. The electorate vote out of frustration that those in power either don't care, don't understand, or are powerless to resolve issues.
I saw a map the other day, sorry can't find it now, that showed the gains by the far right in all European countries. It isn't in any way isolated. But we are not looking at a major power shift --- yet. There is still time for people like Macron to wake up to realities.
As you say superhorns in the UK it is somewhat tranquil compared to other countries, but I do find the fact there is no electable opposition a pain. I want to see choice regardless of my own personal leanings. A strong democracy.
But back to your post before, for certain France is an interesting saga.
The only reason why the BNP is so small in the UK. is because the Conservative Party is so far right themselves that their content overlaps.
If that is true what normally happens is the Left move to the centre and win the next election. That won't happen any time soon. Maybe the move to the right is actually real and reflects the will of the people.
But until Brexit is resolved I doubt it matters.
Why? If you look at history, at both ends of the scale, that is exactly what happens.
I agree it is very easy to find far left Momentum elements in the Labour Party leadership, I find it difficult to name any influential extremists in the Tory Party dragging it towards BNP policies.
Actually KC I think the descriptions 'left' and 'right' have become very obscured over time, and have meant different things to different people at different times. Using a purely economic viewpoint far right would mean neo liberalist free market economics, ie. privatize everything and wait for a magic hand (ie. the market) to regulate everything. Far left would mean collective ownership of the means of production - in some form. By that analysis Britain, since Thatcher, has been a far right wing country. The Nazis described themselves as a 'Socialist' party - and, by the norms of the time they were partly that, favouring a state run economy and only falling short of complete nationalization of industry because they controlled it anyway. Both the Nazis and the Italian Fascists detested free market capitalism and held the interests of the state above that of any individual - so were they left wing ? The truth is that racism can occur at any point of the political spectrum - race war (called right wing) and class war (called left wing) can very easily overlap, and they often do in the writings of Marx and Engels, which rather makes a nonsense of these descriptions.
If people can turn the clock back, UK would be in Europe after March 2019. Ordinary people had been manipulated by Boris Johnson and others for personal gain.
What exactly is a'signed up Conservative' ? A rational sensible 'one Nation Tory' (e.g. Kenneth Clarke') , a simpleton (David davis, amber rudd, Liam Fox, Karen Bradley) or a complete fruitcake (e.g Rees-Mogg, Boris Johnson, Michael Gove - Bridgen, Bone, ) oh dear I could go on for about 50.

All this business of work permits visas etc can really throw up some ludicrous situations. My son in law travels the EU on a UK passport at present, with a UK driving license. He lives here in France, but his work is in Switzerland. He has never been asked to show any documents as he has crossed borders unless he has to go to the UK. As a consultant he has to have a specific work permit for Switzerland, which states that he must leave the country every week. As he only lives 10 minutes from the border with France, on the weekends when he cannot get home, he has to get in his car, drive to a petrol station in France, buy some fuel, get a receipt to show that he was out of the country, and half an later he is back, but has complied with the regulations. Of course no one ever checks, but he complies just the same. From January next year his status will change as he will be employed by a Swiss company full time, so will have a different permit which doesn't require him to leave the country at all. However he may then run into passport and driving license problems the way things are going with Brexit. He can change his driving license with ease to a French one as most of us have done, but the passport problem is not so simple. And Brexit will save on red tape? How many different work permits already exist in the UK, and there is talk of them increasing. Total nonsense.
After Brexit the UK will have the responsibility to decide who arrives seeking work or not, it sounds a vast improvement to me.

We have that responsibility now - they can refuse entry to anybody they like - but the Government chooses not to bother and blames it on Brussels. If you think it's going to change when we leave you are living in cloud cuckoo land.
