You need to do a tour of depressed towns and cities if you think Luton is the worst. It's **** I'll grant you that but I've seen ****ter.
Christianity is not in terminal decline in Britain, whatever the census might say According to the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell. Oh yes it is, oh no it isn’t... This story first popped up late in the week when the Office for National Statistics (ONS) published its latest findings from the 2021 Census in England and Wales. Perhaps we should inject a little bit of fact into the debate by pointing out that the “religion” question on the 2021 Census has only existed since 2001. The reality is that in 1999, Parliament did not want the religion question on the 2001 Census but it got on anyway as optional. There was no religion question on the 1991 Census and the “ethnic group” one consisted of just White, Black-Caribbean, Black-African, Black-Other, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Chinese. Fair play to Cottrell in that he tries to make a positive case, pointing out that the largest religious denomination on the 2021 Census is still Christianity. He does gloss over the fact that the second largest selected option was “No religion” with more than a third of respondents selecting that (atheist me included). Much of the rest of his case seems to centre on just how many people still do Christmas. Well I still do secularised commercialised Christmas even though I worked out that most of that religious rubbish was made up before I reached my teens. Ironic that Mary and Joseph had gone to take part in a census. Mary was unable to claim support for Jesus because the Roman Child Support Agency did not have an address for the alleged father.
Perhaps people always think of England because more than 80 per cent of the British population live there. When the “doomed union” breaks up, the minority northern tribes will be quite happy trading using their new currency – the Euro – and being dictated to by the Germans instead of the English. What a result for Wee Jimmy McKrankie – if she is still around. Of course that last statement started with a fantasy...
Yet more facts not in evidence. The reason that property is so expensive in Cornwall is rich people buying holiday homes, which they only use in the summer (for some reason). Pretty obvious who is “fúcking stupid” – as usual.
https://www.county-homesearch.com/c...e highest,as a popular retirement destination. Yes it is obvious. It's you! And DuMDum of course.
Sensible? The country that totally depended on gas (and about 40% of oil) from Russia and abandoned coal fired and nuclear powered stations and are in an absolute mess economically. Not to mention Merkel opening up the borders to all and sundry. And in just a mess as the rest of us because of 2 years of lockdowns crippling the economies and printing vast amounts of money which we in the West will be paying back for generations to come. Kommandant Krankie wanted longer and harder lockdowns and consequently even harder and longer payback. Some cretins thought it was all going to be a freebie at the beginning of the "not needed" lockdowns. The whole western world is ****ed. Lucky for you and me that we won't see the worst of it. But our kids and grandkids will which is what really concerns me. You get that twat Soonak saying he's concerned for future generations about the "payback". He's one of the twats that was happily printing massive amounts of currency that his kids and grandkids will have to payback. Well done Western World. You've ****ed us plebs over royally. Give yourselves a round of applause.
Quite. Um, actually that makes me a **** up as well I am a **** up though, really wouldn't have mattered what country I had been educated in. Still, I'm happy enough with that
Hi Drew. Just to let you know I didn't bother reading that but I'm sure it's filled with well thought out points and isn't an anti Scottish rant filled with juvenile name calling and such like.
Nothing like using old (dated November 2018), factually inaccurate reporting to prove an incorrect argument. They state “Notably, 21.8% of the South West’s population is 65 years or older, confirming its status as a popular retirement destination.” The “South West” is not just Cornwall and they seem to have conveniently forgotten that a large proportion of the over 65s in the South West have lived there all their lives and not just moved there to retire. Using modern up-to-date statistics, according to Cornwall Council statistics dated 28th March 2022, there are 12,776 “second homes” in Cornwall and 2,349 “long term empty” properties. According to Cornwall Council, 39 per cent of “second homes” are holiday homes and just 9 per cent are “future retirement homes”. You should stick to being wrong about Scotland as you clearly know nothing about England.
