We tend to go to warmer places on holiday and to retire, yet a lot of migrants travel from those warmer climes to these damp soggy Islands to start a new life.

Well... you said that you tend to go to warmer places on holiday and to retire and I said, tell that to the people of Cornwall.

Mainly because Cornish people can't afford to buy houses in Cornwall because that is where you go to retire.
